Stayed here for one night. There are 6 onsens in this hotel. I will recommend Boukido, Isonoyu and Tenkai No Yu. The rest are not worth your time as they have no view. Boukido is the nicest. The onsen is just next to the sea. Initially I was not impressed but the next morning when the ladies's and men's onsen... More

Our group of 7 stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed the resort atmosphere. You have to take a short ferry ride across the bay to the hotel and that added to the experience. We were checked in quickly and were accompanied by a hotel employee on our journey to our rooms. We walked a bit and then started up... More

My friend and I (who live in the area) tried to visit here just to use the onsen... My friend gets sea sick very easily, so we first tried to use the road instead of the ferry. The old man in the guard post actually told me, verbatim: "Wow - your Japanese is really good. I'm surprised you couldn't read... More

Our family of 4 with kids loved this experience - Enormous resort. Few if any Gaizin. Aged tourists and few children if any during non school vacation periods. Boat from tiny port town to the hotel is running constantly with very little delay if any. The buildings are in need of work and dated, but the multiple natural hot spring... More

We follow tour group, so have limited time visiting onsen. There are 6 onsens. I prefer onsen in the cave. Onsen 1 is the most famous. I tried onsen 3 and the view was beautiful. The ryokan room is clean and spacious. View from the room was also very good.

This is a huge hotel with many different types of rooms. We stayed at the room on the Sun Rise Building so we get to see the sun rise every morning which is very impressive. However, everything else is just average. The pillow, quilt and the beddings smelled and there were not enough towels for use. Service and food is... More

The Ryokan room is very clean. There were 6 onsens to choose. The Onsen that is in the cave is the best among the six. Therefore, definitely crowded. The buffet has a good variety of food. There is also a Maguro cutting demonstration. Not sure if it is available every night.

This unique hotel is one of the famous hotel in Japan. The best one of this hotel is there are a lot of natural onsens. Two of those were so huge and made with natural huge caves. It was really amazing, wonderful, moreover the water is included a lot of mineral. Moreover, there is a nice outside bathtub which is... More

Special and nice cave onsen with ocean view - enjoying it alreay provides you a good reason of stay here. The hotel is a bit old, and so big with lots of local travellers. The rooms are spacious which is not easy to find in Japan. The overall quality may be not up to modern standard, but again, experiencing the... More
