Wow what an amazing experience. We weren't sure what to expect during our stay in Koyasan but I can say we were pleasantly surprised - it was one of the highlights of our trip. After arriving in Koyasan and touring the Okunoin cemetary and sacred area, I decided to head to the tourist visitor centre who where very helpful and rang and booked me into this temple I paid 11,000 yen for my room.
