I was wowed by photos online and was not disappointed when I arrived at the huge hotel, which has a great location right on Lake Toya, the main attraction in the small town. The spacious rooms come with a big window which overlooks the lake, a most pleasant sight. Hotel feels luxurious with helpful concierge staff on standby and there... More

This is a large and fairly modern resort on the shores of the largest greater lake in Hokkaido. Aside from spectacular views across the lake this resort has absolutely nothing to boast about. It was crowded, noisy and of poor quality in all aspects. Where to start? I guess at point of arrival. Once you arrive and unload you luggage... More

We stayed at this hotel 3 years prior and loved it. That was a summer visit and perhaps if we made another summer visit we'd stay here again. But not in winter. We have a 14 year old son. And it was for him that we returned here. There are great views of the lake and a nice atmosphere around... More

I stayed at this hotel as part of a tour package. Have a very nice view of the lake from my room. They have many hot spring pools to soak in as well as swimming pool/small water park. Our seafood dinner was excellent and big portions. We stayed in a traditional Japanese room and slept on the comfortable futon. We... More

The only good thing about this hotel is the view - it is right at Toya Lake so you get the entire lake view. The hotel itself is run down with worn, stained carpets. The food hall is very big with quite a wide but average selection of Japanese and western food. No complaints there. We booked a non-smoking twin but... More

They have a free shuttle to the onsen from Toya JR Station. We were spoiled so we took the taxi. The hotel could use some renovation. Its décor is old and there is a worn look to the place, but that said it was very comfortable. Like the leather reclining chairs in our room, we were startled by their worn... More

Stayed here for 4 nights to watch Iron Man Japan and take in surrounding sights. This place is HUGE and OLD. Rooms are tiny and tired but do all have fantastic lake and nightly fireworks reviews. Staff really try hard but if you have no Japanese they are mostly in difficulty. There is a massive Onsen (no clothes) and free... More

Stayed for one night here. Overall, a nice stay here in the traditional Tatami room. The mattress was laid out for us while we were having dinner (in the huge dining hall!), so that's nice of the staffs. The onsen is great. Must give it a try if you make it here. Food selection was superb! Agreed with other posters... More

Big hotel with huge onsen and pools, almost like a public onsen, big swimming and kids pools. Lacks privacy. Not for a honeymoon. Groups and buses of tourists and school kids. Big canteen like restaurant but with awesome views of the lake toya, food was surprisingly good and varied considering the masses it feeds. Rooms are a tired looking and... More

I was expecting a small little ryokan given that it's out in the suburbs, but was amazed to see how big the hotel was. The lobby was huge, and I mean really huge! There was also a very big souvenir shop just beside the lobby area. And speaking of huge, the dining area was also a big giant hall. Rooms... More
