Maybe because we stayed at Lake View Nonokaze Hotel the first night that Toya Sunpalace is no comparison. The hotel lobby is elegant, with expanded view of the lake, but once we entered the room it was a different story - old, run down, and looked dirty. I made my reservation in May for a non smoking room, but got... More

We got a western/tatami room which was nice and spacious. The only gripe I have about the hotel is the really tiny bathroom. It's about the size of an airplane toilet. There were lots of activities for the kids- a nice water park and arcade. If you didn't bring a swimsuit they also have it for rent. We didn't eat... More

This hotel has a grand lobby which is very comfortable to rest. At this time when we visited, there are sea aquarium for us to admire fishes. The outside scenery is beautiful with chairs to sit along to watch fireworks only during this period from April to Oct. I also like the spread of the morning buffet. You definitely should... More

We got a Japanese room at the Crystal block with a great view of the lake. The room and toilet are small but this is compensated with good quality food for breakfasf and dinner. The spread of food is wide. Although it has to cater to large group of guests, the hotel is still able to maintain the standard of... More

Stayed one night with tour group. The view of the lake, impressive onsen, pretty good dinner and breakfast buffet, plus fireworks on the lake made up for the not so impressive decor of the rooms. Did not access the water park or game room, but would think it'd be a hit with young children.

Stayed in this hotel for 1 night and I'm already impressed. Huge and nice modern lobby with high full Length windows , looking out to lake toya. Well equipped gift shop. Both indoor and outdoor onsen with view of lake Toya. Nice restaurants nearby. Jap style rooms are nice. The non jap style rooms are quite outdated but it's still... More

Hotel is obviously catered for large groups. Expect a rush during dinner. The lobby and dining hall were impressive, offering a great view but the room we got was in poor state. Decor a bit gaudy. Cabinet doors were falling off the hinges and carpets were dirty. Room aircon was inadequate. Only thing going for the room was a great... More

The property is huge! Obviously catering for big tour groups. The lobby is very pretty as it looks recently renovated, compared to some parts of the hotel which looks like it's from the 80s. We stayed in the modern twin room which is renovated. Room size is decent and the tatami area convert to a comfortable sleeping area at night.... More

Highlights: Amenities 1. Swimming Pool/Water Park There is a large indoor water park within the hotel premises at B1. Do bring your swimming costumes if you want to take a dip. The park produces fairly large wave swells within the park. Little children might be scared to play in the pool. Look out for the "fake" indoor beach opposite the... More

It's an very old hotel but some of the facilities been renovated. My room is very old though and filled with cigarettes smell... Other than that, no complaints. It's a fantastic family hotel. Has got a BIG heated swimming pool with a few slides and artificial waves every half an hour. A arcade centre for the kids. The onsen is... More
