We picked this hotel mainly because of the Unkai Terrace but this hotel turned out to be a lot more than we had wished for. The included breakfast and dinner were a FEAST! You from sushi, sashimi, grilled fish, stew...we even the had three types of white rice that were locally grown in Hokkaido to choose from. The hot spring... More

Our family of 2 adults and 2 kids stayed at The Tower's Family Fourth Room for 4 nights 16-20 Dec 2013. We paid a total of 114,000 yen for the 68sqm, inclusive of breakfast and dinner. It was an amazing steal. Pricing was a bit confusing as the price I got from emailing them was slightly higher than the price... More

HI pigletthepug, Thank you very much for choosing us as the place to spend your family vacation. We are getting good snowfall these several days and I wish you were here to see how really soft and light the snow here in Tomamu is. We are expanding our range of "fun for non-skiers" as we are having more and more... More

We came at the beginning of winter so not all the sites/activities are available. Great place for skiing or winter activities. Food prices are reasonable for the nearby restaurants. Staff were young, enthusiastic and helpful. Not all were conversant in English though.

HI Wee Liat T, Many thanks for your comment! Our ski resort was to be open at end of November but unfortunately with the lack of snowfall, we weren't able to open the ski slopes or other snow fun activities. As you mentioned, once our activities are fully available, one night stay is just not enough. We are increasing the... More

This is one of the best hotels to enjoy great nature, but you'll find there are almost nothing other than it in summer seasons. So, it's true that this is a good hotel, but I felt that staying one or two nights were enough by the reasons as below. - Great points - You may be able to see the... More

Very good service from the Hotel staff who sent an English speaking staff to attend to our check-in. We reached there late but managed to soak in the hot spring and thereafter have a wonderful Japanese dinner. Very good service from the restaurant staff. Would love to spend another day there to really enjoy the facilities there.

For a family holiday, this resort's good. The room is huge especially when compared to normal Japanese hotel room. There are 4 single beds and 2 bathrooms. The mountain view from the room is to-die for. As for the food, we had dinner and breakfast at Hals. The food was OK but nothing spectacular. In conclusion, it's a good place... More

We stayed there from July 20 to 22. In general, if you are not planning to stay in the room for long hours, you may find it a good resort because it has all the activities and facilities that you can enjoy including hot air balloon, skiing in winter, various restaurants, clouds at Unkai Terrace, the façade was nice, quiet... The first impression is that this resort is very popular among tourist groups! The reception is a bit outdated and check-in staff literally can't speak English! Rooms: at 25/f, with lounge area, great view and renovated! (They still use room keys!!!) Dining: we went to one of Japanese restaurants at the basement of Forest Garden! Though the px was reasonable... More

My wife and son (4 years old) have stayed here several times during the winter. Skiing was excellent, hotel rooms were pretty good (slightly worn and old rugs) and the view was amazing. The breakfast buffet was delicious with lots of choices. Staff from check-in to checkout were excellent. If this had been my only experience, I would have rated... More
