We stayed in Akachichi in Nov 2013. What we enjoyed most is the privacy, hospitality and help from the hosts are there whenever we want it, the place is quiet with tasteful decor. Having the wholesome breakfast at our terrace overlooking the garden was the best time to enjoy the morning and to prepare for the day's trip. The place... More

What a beautiful welcoming guesthouse Akachichi is! From the moment we arrived we were made to feel incredibly comfortable. The rooms are beautifully and thoughtfully designed and having the terrace was a wonderful touch. The breakfasts were delicious and the owners were extremely helpful in answering our questions and offering suggestions about where to go and what to see. I... More

We've stayed at this B&B for three times; every time we visited Okinawa. The room was perfect as other reviewers commented, the breakfast was far and away the best you could expect, the owners and their children were so lovely and helpful - we feel like staying at our best friends'. You can connect to the high-speed (it really is)... More

Rather than stay in one of the big resort hotels typical of the coast of okinawa, I chose to book this lovely guesthouse after glowing reviews on TripAdvisor. It definitely did not disappoint! What a lovely corner of Onna-son - perfectly located near to Cape Maeda, one of the best beaches on Okinawa main island. The room was perfectly thought... More

This small guesthouse was one of my favourite places on our recent trip to Japan. We only stayed 2 nights but I would of loved to have stayed longer. The room was generous and airy and very well outfitted, with a small terrace in the front garden. The breakfasts were amazing, there was both western and Japanese. It was the kind... More

If you're looking for THE perfect guesthouse, you don't need to look any further. Akachichi is perfectly located, in a quiet neighbourhood nearby the beaches of Maeda (5 min walk). The guestrooms are comfortable and very clean, plus you have a small terrace to relax. But the best at Akachichi are the owners Kenny & Komaki: They are so helpful... More

Kenny and Komaki Ehman are the perfect hosts for this wonderful guesthouse, in so many ways...they speak Japanese, Okinawan and English, he has written an excellent guidebook for tourists to Okinawa, she is a fantastic cook whose breakfasts are a real treat, and on top of all of that, they are friendly, very helpful, and a joy to be around.... Very relaxing, comfortable, clean and neatly furnished, calm, delicious breakfast,... above all, the owner family are the best people I've ever met. They taught me what "welcoming guests" mean. No need to speak Japanese - they do perfectly understand both Japanese and English. It is a bit off from the center of Onna village, so you may have got to... More
