We have been in Japan for 8 days and experienced some magical hospitality in Tokyo, Kyoto and Hakone. The bar had been set. We arrived at The Green Plaza hotel after only booking it the day prior. We were recommended it by the concierge at our previous hotel. She had never been but was impressed with the website. We agreed... More

Our first impression when we arrived at 12pm on a Sunday in winter was chaos. Noisy, overcrowded and inefficient. A strict 10am check-out and 3pm check-in, is not unusual but there was nowhere to wait and nowhere to put luggage unless you paid a locker fee. Adding to the lobby congestion, was a 30 minute restaurant queue to eat at the... More

One of the most impressive hotels in the world visually, especially in winter. We have been going to Cortina to ski for over a decade, though we often choose to stay elsewhere. The rooms are showing their age now, and we have seen no major renovations. The stay/buffet/ski ticket packs can be a good deal, but it really depends on... More

We discovered that the hotel often leaves rooms dirty for an entire day if there is no immediate booking afterwards, it also means that they don't check the room for you and any lost items will not be found until 24 hours later. The hotel said they would send the laptop charger that I needed for my work, but then... More

We booked the duplex rooms. The layout of the room was not conducive. Entrance is from the upper floor. There is a tatami room and no bathroom. The lower floor has 2 beds and a sofa bed. Toilet and cupboards are downstairs. So it was a little inconvenient to lug the bags up and down a steep staircase. Would have... More

I stayed in the hotel for a week with a friend. The main reasons to select Green Plaza Hotel were the ski in ski out property and good possibility to find powder snow in the forests. And with respect to these reasons the selection was correct. The hotel is a huge complex with restaurants, shops, karaoke pub, onsen, etc. The... More

This is a very nice exterior looking hotel. The service is ok too, nice staff. The room was spacious; I had the same size room as my friends with 2+ ppl inside. I had an extra bed in the room? We all had manual back scratcher and a neck massager in our rooms as well as TV, hair dryer n... More

We chose this hotel as our parents came with us. They don't do skiing, but enjoyed onsen public bath. We had three rooms in total and one of them was mezzanine, which was a bit funny design. The entrance was on top and people have to go downstairs to access the twin bed room. My mother in law couldn't walk... More

This hotel is in a great position to take advantage of the fantastic snow - just outside the front door. However we found it a bit large and impersonal. Our initial impression was not good as when arriving early we had to go to the busy ski area and pay for our luggage to be stored a the delivery area... More

Booked a 4D3N package with this hotel through Japan Snow accommodation. We love the ski resort, hotel room, hot spring and the Japanese Set dinner (an upgrade offered by the hotel for one night). The scenery overseeing snowy mountain and skiing slopes was spectacular. Also very grateful to all the help and special provisions given by Ms Yoshiko during our... More
