We recently stayed at the Sierra Resort for our first family holiday in Japan to experience the snow. Our stay in the hotel didn't disappoint and I want to say a huge thank you to all of the staff at Sierra- they were amazing - fabulous fabulous service and it really made our holiday a real treat!! Nothing was too... More

We have just spent a week here and the hotel is lovely. The rooms are a bit worn, but I hear much less so than most other hotels in Hakuba. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the food is good. There are a few bottles of free wine in the evenings, but if you're not there at 5 on... More

My family and I stayed here for 4 nights during our ski holiday in February. We had such a lovely time at this hotel. What made it so special is the staff at this hotel. They go out of their way to assist and make you feel so comfortable. Admittedly this resort is located at least a 10 min drive... More

Fully agree with the others, who reviewed the hotel as excellent. Very helpful and friendly staff, big rooms, comfy beds, amenities, bus to the slopes, Onsen, surrounds - all excellent. Admittedly it is a little isolated in the middle of nowhere, but the bus transfers are frequent and quick. With the two restaurants one has some choice in regards to... More

We loved staying at the Sierra Resort. We found the staff warm and always helpful, the communal areas were spacious and comfortable and well stocked with snacks and drinks. There was Thai curry, sticky rice snacks wrapped in bamboo, miso soup and eggs available in the foyer, and inside, juice, teas, and wines, including hot mulled wine. There were ice... More

On booking this hotel we had great emails confirming accommodation and collection from the Info Centre on arrival. We travelled with another family and had booked 2x Grand Dbls & a Junior Suite for our 4 boys. We were lucky enough to be given 3xSuites all next to each other as a major company booked in for 3 nights. We... More

We were expecting more from this hotel. The surroundings of the hotel are amazing so all the Hakuba area in general is. Ski resorts are also not far from the hotel. The facilities are in general good, some parts of the resort a bit old but still ok. They however have to fix the ventilation (chimney?) at the room behind... More

Probably the best in Hakuba however the rooms are very old and worn. However, the hotel redeem itself for its excellent service. All coffees and teas are free with plenty of free snacks in the lobby. All restaurants in the hotel are reasonably priced

If you're there for the snow this resort will make it a highlight. Welcoming staff, inviting spring baths, hot treats and traditional drinks are some of the highlights. The igloo which holds the most delicious bean soup inside or the green curry on the front deck that is like nothing else help add to the most amazing views of snow... More
