This was our third stay at the Yamano Hotel, and the reason we keep returning is because of the warm friendly service, comfortable rooms, and great food. This is a family run hotel, and Keita and Monica are wonderful at making you feel at home. They really go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay with... More

My friend and I stayed at this property for seven nights in early February. The hotel staff were very agreeable and often went out of their way to accommodate us such as driving us somewhere or picking us up. The hotel manager in particular may our stay as easy as possible. He spoke English well, the only downside of which,... More

Our family had two rooms at Yamano Hotel for one week. The location might be a little removed from the village centre, but it is possible to ski from the door to the lifts, so what's the problem? The easy walk into the village restaurants at night was actually one of the most pleasant parts of our stay, but it... More

Just got back from a weeks stay here and it was excellent!! It's a nice family run hotel, Keita and Monica both make you feel at home and are extremely helpful with helping to book restaurants (Japanese restaurants are often small and fit up to 15ppl at best, important to book). Rooms were clean, we were lucky with our room... More

Simple but highly effective. The owners run the hotel and nothing is too much trouble.

I stayed with my family and a friend visiting Japan from overseas. The hotel is located right in front of the jump stadium, and the owner's family were jumping champion and trainers. The staff were nice, but they missed out on a wake up call for my friend on the last day, which irritated him so much and embarrassed me... More

A Colleague and I stayed here and were pleasantly surprised at how friendly they were here. They were always able to assist us and run us down to the shops when necessary. Monica speaks english better than the others but all try their best. Our room was big by their (japanese) standards but was on the lowest floor with a... More

Husband and wife team is great, warm and thoroughly accommodating. Everything works here, and they assisted with the most minor of details (ski rentals, rides downtown, etc) Breakfast quality is very good, and you'll most likely want to have their shabu shabu for dinner too. Really liked that there is complimentary wifi all around...

I stayed at the Yamano Hotel with my family when we went on a skiing holiday to Japan. The staff were very helpful, and I would most definitely stay there again. The location is a little bit out of the way, and it can get a little cold walking to restaurants, but that would not deter me from staying there... More

Family run hotel managed by kindest and friendliest owners who will do anything to ensure their guests have pleasant stay. Rooms are spacious. Daily breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. Onsen after a day of skiing is a must! Highly recommended if heading to Hauba!
