We picked this place a bit at random, but we were positively surprised. The onsen was wonderful and usually empty. The breakfast buffet was well varied and interesting. The rooms are small and snug, but pristine and functional. However, the pillows had grains? rocks? in them on one side, which was a bit odd for us, but not uncomfortable per... More

Well-located in picturesque Hakuba ski resort. Nice ambience and very helpful staff. OK Onsen. Good breakfast. Dinner a little pricey but not out of the ordinary for a ski resort. Closer to the village (gondola) would be nice, as shuttle bus can get a little crowded. Comes to door though.

We ended up in a bit more expensive hotel than usually during skiing trips but this time it was worth of paying some extra because this hotel was really good. Inhouse Onsen was great and some of us used that several times a day. At breakfast there was both Japanese and western style options, some days they eaven served strawberries.... More

We had a lovely 4 night stay at this elegant hotel. The staff are helpful and overall standard of service is high. We enjoyed the vast buffet spread for breakfast each morning which set us up perfectly for the day. We are a vegetarian family and there were plenty of eating options at the breakfast buffet. However we found it... More

We stayed here for a weeks skiing and had a great time. The room was a good size, the onsens most appreciated after a day on the snow and the breakfasts set us up for the day. Although you can walk to the slopes in around 10 minutes it was really handy having the bus stop right at the front... More

And if you scan my reviews, I'm somewhat of a stickler on quality. I have rated this higher than my five star Tokyo hotel.....their five star...I gave them less. The breakfast was as extensive as I've ever seen. Beautiful country, absolutely top notch staff, and dining. I would go here again in an instant. Tip: Do check into the kind... More

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Tokyu. The staff were amazing and the facilities are excellent. The onsens have an indoor and outdoor which is fabulous although if it's snowing heavily they close the outdoor one unfortunately. They provide beautiful toiletries/lotions in your own bathroom as well as in the onsen. Buses for the ski resorts come regularly to the... More

Deep Powder Tours in Sydney made this recommendation. We were thrilled with the old lodge style in a modern building. The whole experience was perfect but some of the key points were. The restaurants in the hotel and around in the near by streets were wonderful. Breakfast was a treat with lots of buffet style food and great omelettes. The... More

We sent two weeks at the Tokyu whilst skiing in Hakuba. The hotel met every requirement we had. The breakfast buffet was extensive and of very good quality. We ate in both the Japanese and French restaurants (not very French to be honest) and the food was very good indeed. The ever available staff were keen to please, helping with... More
