We stayed here in March 2015 The hotel is quality, clean, obviously well managed. The room was nice and definitely the largest room I have had in Japan, the bathroom was also nice and big and clean, our bed was made of two small beds pushed together, definitely not a honeymoon suite. Breakfast was good but doesn't start until 0700,... More

`We stayed here for a week in late December 2014 over Christmas for a snowboarding trip. We were VERY impressed by the service, quality of the rooms (if a little small) and food. The location is close to everything and the buses take you anywhere outside of walking distance, including transfers to any resort in Hakuba each day. Lots of... More

The rooms are basic, but pretty nice for Japan standards. Really, the only thing that woulda made this better is if it had been directly connected to the ski slope. Loved the complimentary breakfast and the Onsen was so nice after skiing all day.

This hotel was exactly what we wanted in a hotel at the snow. Great spacious rooms & bathrooms with a balcony- actually had a view! Service was great and the shuttle bus to and from the slopes was so helpful. The only down side is that you have to walk a little to restaurants (only about 10minute walk). French restaurant... Stayed at the Hakuba Tokyu for 7 nights in March and had a wonderful time. Rooms are decent sized with a balcony and provide everything you need. Staff are very polite and helpful and our included daily buffet breakfast had a nice variety. Only downfalls we had was the beds were on the hard side but we heard that was... More

We have just come back from Japan and spent 10 nights at the Hakuba Tokyu Hotel, we couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. Our room was a good size and had everything you needed, it was very clean (like the whole hotel) the only thing is the mattress and pillows are firm. After the first night we... More

We stayed at the hotel for a weekend of skiing. The location of the hotel next to several different slopes was perfect for our trip. You could rent skis and basic equipment through the hotel, or you could walk a few minutes up the street to rent equipment from a store with more options. The hotel had a GREAT free... More

We stayed here for 6 nights in February as part of a Ski Japan deal. It was everything we could have asked for and after reading some of the negative reviews I can only picture the people writing them. It would be the people who I saw at breakfast who refuse to try to speak any Japanese and only eat... More

When we looked at booking in Hakuba, our only prerequisite was an onsen onsite. The onsen was lovely and beautifully clean with a pleasant outlook to the snow filled garden. Sadly, they do not open the outdoor onsen in winter because of falling snow from the hotel's roof. This was disappointing and something we would have liked to have known... More

There are so many little things that this hotel could do to make Tokyu hotel the only place to stay when in Hakuba but I doubt it will happen. The hotel is stuck in a timewarp from the day it opened. Decor - dated, doesn't feel like it has had a single penny of investment since the day it opened.... More
