We recently stayed at De Laile for 6 nights with 6 people - 4 in one room and 2 in the other room. The 4 bed room was plenty big enough - 2 people in beds and 2 down the end of the room on futons - there was a large cupboard big enough for all 4 people to put... More

We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks each January for the last 5 years. A great position, food is excellent, room nice & warm, and the staff are lovely. All at a reasonable price. My home away from home

We Stayed at Hotel De Laile for 8 nights in January 2015. I cant recommend this property enough. Toky at reception spoke very good English and bent over backwards to help us with any and everything. In fact all the staff here are lovely and really add to the enjoyment of the stay. The hotel is getting a little bit... More

This hotel is the reason I have chosen to return to Hakuba as opposed to Niseko. The family and staff who run hotel de l'aile are lovely. The breakfasts are a great mixture of Japanese and Western food. The evening meals can be included and they are superb again mainly local cuisine but with a western twist sometimes. It is... More

Brought a group here and found the staff to be great. The bus trip to the gondola was short and easy. The bathrooms are minute but the onsen is fantastic, I took a long shower, sauna and then just sat in the onsen taking away all my aches and pains. The food was very good and diverse and a great... This is the second time we have stayed at Hotel De Laile and both times we have enjoyed our stay. The owners are really friendly, the hotel is an excellent location, both times we have had the room with the tatami floor and it's provided us with space to chill out after a day on the slopes. The real winner... More

Stayed for 9 nights in late jan 2013 with our good friends (another couple). Our first time skiing Japan, their 3rd ( but second to Hakuba). Hotel was clean and comfortable, close to the slopes and bus stop for the free bus service around the area. As this is a 3 star hotel, I rated it with this in mind.... More

Hotel De Laile has some plusses: located within a short walk of Sakka lifts (but not a ski out location); a good indoor and outdoor onsen; a good restaurant with a view out to the Happo One resort; early check in is possible; pick up and drop off from/to bus and train station; and our room was  big enough. BUT... More
