Have just spent 5 days in this hotel and we have been pleasantly surprised. Rooms are more than comfortable although it may be time for a makeover soon. Great position right on the snow overlooking the night skiing area and easy access to the chairlift BUT if you are a light sleeper then beware of the grooming equipment which do... More

Great location right on one of the mountains. The hotel had just opened for the season whe we arrived. We stayed in the quad room which was plenty big enough for the three of us. The bathroom was small but adequate. The view from the room was amazing. The drying room as adequate and they need to get more pegs... More

I stayed at this hotel for 8 nights at the beginning of February 2015. Four of us adults shared a quad room. The room was fine with plenty of space albeit it had a small but adequate bathroom. There was no bar fridge but we had a balcony and with temperatures at zero or lower (and plenty of snow) we... More

It's a small boutique hotel with rooms on 2 floors. The three of us fitted in a quite spacious room with 3 single beds plus our suitcases. Our son is 14 years and 6 ft tall. Skiing - great advantage of being just there near the ticket office as you have to get your passes each day. Happo One is... More

This place is ski in ski out. It has a beautiful view over the night skiing area. I have to mention some downsides. Being so close to the slopes means you are a far walk to the information centre bus terminal. So if you intend to try out other slopes it isn't the best location. Somewhere in between would be... Signs of former glory but no more. Very expensive for what it is - A$350 per night for room. No bar fridge in room? No english channel TV, not even CNN or BBC. Very expensive food and drink for very basic fare. 1,000Y for a beer. Service willing but no idea. Maitre de very keen to pass you on to... More

Pretty much ski in/ski out from happo one nakiyama. Very generously sized pizzas. Also good for a drink between afternoon and night skiing - the night skiing area is just outside the door. The fries were actually wedges - not sure if this was a one off or a regular change. They were excellent anyway. White Soho wine was lovely.

As the title says, location! on-snow location at the base of the lift in Happo one. The rooms and amenities were good leaving nothing really wanting. the staff are very helpful and English wasn't a problem. Its more of a European style hotel so nothing really traditional Japanese about the hotel so no onsen or tatami mats. Great hotel and... More

We stayed at Marillen Hotel over the Xmas week in 2013. It was early in the season, so the accommodation package we got through Liquid Snow tours was very reasonable. We had an absolutely beautiful room, with a view of the Nakiyama slope. The room itself was extremely large (very rare in Japan), with a big comfortable bed, large sofa... More

After almost one day traveling from Spain we finally got the Hotel Marillen and the nice Happo. I think is one of the key places to be at Happo. You have the ski slopes just at the front of the door, the town just a few steps and the service you receive is really very good. I had the opportunity... More
