Our family stayed at Panorama on a last-minute ski trip to Hakuba in March 2015. This a very down-to-earth place. Nothing fancy - but everything works. We had a family room with a queen-seized bed, and two singles, which worked great for our family of four. Housekeeping was a bit of a hit and miss, but always, we have fresh... More

While not being the highest level of luxury this is still a great place to stay. Walking distance to slopes of Happo-One. Hosts are very helpful with any information on good restaurants, transport to other ski slopes and will take you to some locations if required. While the bathrooms are quite small there is an onsite Onsen which was fantastic.... More

Just returned from a fantastic 5 night stay (mum and 3 young kids), and to echo previous reviews, the staff at Panorama couldn't be nicer/more helpful. They pretty much anticipated all our needs, with shuttles to ski hire and the lifts organised for us. Very helpful recommendations on places to go too. Overall the hotel is very kid friendly and... Staying in this hotel felt like being part of the family. The Australian owner, Kevin, was there for us all the time and nothing was a problem. We travelled with our son who has numerous food allergies and Kevin made sure that breakfast food (included in the price) was delicious and nuts free. The bar downstairs was a great entertaining... Stayed here after finding reviews on trip advisor and it didn't disappoint. Good size rooms, clean and friendly and helpful staff. There were 3 families staying here and the community room was well utilised by both parents and kids, in fact this made our stay. They had western and Japanese food which was great for the kids. Kids went night... More

This was by far our largest room in Japan and it was great! We were very happy with this hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful! It was a little walk to anywhere and a bit hard coming back after skiing with all of the gear, but it wasn't a major issue. The hotel organised shuttles to get ski... More

Unlike other reviewers, our stay here was not in the snow season but in late September as my husband was flyfishing in the area. But our experience appears to be the same. Whilst there were not many guests at the hotel, the staff were still vigilant and very helpful - rushing to give us umbrellas as rain started to fall... More

8 night ski vacation in Jan 2014. What can I say? Probably the best ski vacation we've ever had. As everyone else has mentioned, the service is brilliant. Kev and his staff really know how to show you a good time. Rooms are large, with great views. Small toilet and shower unit in room. Bit of a squash if you... More

This is my second visit to this small hotel. It is a little gem and the second stay has allowed me to enjoy it more than before. To just appreciate its location - the view of the Panorama overlooking the Olympic ski Jumps as well as the snow fields and mountains. When returning home from a long days skiing, you... More
