Well located only 50 meters from the Sakka Chair lift, a cosy lodge with a mix of western and Japanese style. Our room had a king size bed on the traditional Japanese matt flooring, as well as a separate area for luggage, an ensuite and a cupboard. The room has its own heater so you can control the temperature, there... More

Firstly, very little on-snow accommodation in Japan for a family will be cheap. Hakuba Luna hotel is more like a friendly snow lodge than a hotel. It is not large or salubrious, but wonderfully warm and welcoming. We had booked the "family room" about 8 months in advance so were very lucky. The room (of which there is only currently... More

We didn't stay at Luna but ate twice in the restaurant. The food was excellent. Great flavours. A small menu but all the dishes were all very nice. Would definitely recommend as a place to dine. Would also recommend booking ahead, especially if you are in a large group.

Spent 5 sensational nights at a cozy and friendly place over Xmas. The staff are sensational and was a highlight of our holiday. Great location. Home away from home. It was our first time away from our family over Xmas but the management and staff made us part of their family.

The Luna is not a resort hotel so don't come expecting bells and whistles. This is a cosy retreat after a fun day skiing. The entire hotel consists of 2 floors of rooms and a basement with rec room, laundry room and dry room. There are no connecting rooms in the hotel but if you are travelling with children they... My husband and 5 month old baby stayed here recently for our Christmas Holiday. The standout is the friendly service from the staff at the hotel who really make you feel welcome. The hotel is opposite the Sakka lift and just to the side of the hotel you can catch the bus to the other lifts for free. The rooms... More

As a family of four (with two teenage boys) with the purpose of skiing and snowboarding this was the perfect accommodation for our holiday. The location is great for the Sakka slope and the free buses are close to the location of the hotel. One of the bonuses of the location is that these bus rides start at this end... More

Stayed here during our annual Japanese ski trip, was a comfortable place to stay with an easy walk down to the lifts at Happo One. The bar was great and the meals very good. Rooms where clean and service was good.

Fantastic atmosphere, very comfortable lodge including great bar and restaurant with home cooked meals. All families had a fun time in the games room. The best part was the amassing service from all the staff – always ready to help. Proximity to ski lift, rental shop also a major plus.

I let someone else make all of the arrangements for our January 15 ski trip to Japan. Left them to choose the resort (Hakuba - Happo One), the timing, the timing and the accommodation. This was a dads and kids trips. Someone else was handling the details. What could possibly go wrong? In honesty; absolutely nothing. Happo One (pronounced, "Awe-nay",... More
