We were expecting to stay at the la Neige Higashikan but our travel agent had mixed things up a bit so we ended up staying at the Honkan instead. We arrived in the early hours of the morning so our keys were left at the front desk and our room was left ajar with the light on to welcome us.... More

The Hotel La Neige is well located in Wadano, 5 minutes walk to the Sakka lift, bus stop 50 meters away and ski rental shop 20 meters from the front door - all very convenient. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel breakfast was very good - and quick, which is important when trying to catch some early... More

We arrived Christmas Eve. Staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms are very neat and clean. We did not have a cupboard in our room, just a couple of hooks and coat hangers and only two draws. The bathrooms are pref fab style, small bath and those great Japanese toilets! We had an interconnecting room with our children (no cupboards in... More

We stayed 5 nights at the beginning of the ski season in two twin rooms. The rooms are clean & comfortable with all basic inclusions. Wifi works in the lobby but not well in the rooms. The bathrooms are tiny - as expected in Japan but more like a prefab unit in a caravan than a hotel bathroom. They are... More

The hotel is very classic luxurious inside Hakuba in wadano area. The room is very classic but nice and they have the lodge adjacent to the hotel which i think is quite wonderful. The service js excellent and the restaurant is one of the beat french restaurant in hakuba.

My wife an I stayed at this hotel in Feb '15 and from the moment we booked until the moment we left it was great. They helped out with transporting my snow gear from the airport even before I had arrived and helped again by sending the snow gear back to the airport after we left. The hotel itself is... More

My husband and I loved staying at the lodge. I fell in love with the Edwardian feel of the place. Wooden infrastructure with a character! The lodge is located on a hill a little away from the little city centre. Since we visited in the summer, we rented a bike (which was arranged by the hotel propritor), and biked around... More

So, I wasn't quite sure what to expect upon arrival, as this was my first visit to Japan. But we were given a very nice welcome once we did arrive. Initial impressions were good. the foyer is lovely, set out in quite a nice fashion, and the location, set in a woodland area, with 6 feet of snow banked up... More

The hotel level of services are really amazing and the staff is really really nice. Every attention, every detail is thought about. Really feeling at home there! I loved the lobby where you can hang out in front of the fireplace, help yourself with a tea, cakes and other little sweets. The rooms are spacious enough for all your winter... More

Stayed at Honkan for the first time for a week in February 2015. Arriving at 2am from Tokyo, we were welcomed by a personal note from the friendly owner and directions to our room. Our room was small, but quite spacious (for a room in Japan) for two people with plenty of ski gear. Great location, only a short walk... More
