I stayed at this hotel earlier this month, and I totally love it! The hotel staff wrote to me before I checked in to ensure I would know the way. When I arrived and found out that the Nature Walk nearby is not open yet, they were able to give professional advice on where to go otherwise. Food at the... More

Set in the middle of a Forrest makes it almost enchanted. The staff clearly care and shows in everything you they do. At the end of a days skiing you can ski back to the door in about two minutes. When you arrive back you feel immediately relaxed with classical music playing softly in the background. They did everything they... More

Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 girls aged 7 and 9) have just returned home from 12 glorious days at the Hotel La Neige Honkan. Within seconds of arrival, we knew that we had walked into a special hotel, one in which we were made to feel extremely welcome and cared for. The location is simply perfect -... More

Fantastic hotel for a great stay on the snow. Rooms are all individual and we were upgraded to a room with a separate jacuzzi room which was very luxurious. The main lounge is like an old English manor with roaring fire. Après ski snacks are there to help yourself to and marshmallows are there to be roasted on the fire... More

A really charming quiet and relaxing ski holiday with excellent and attentive hosts. Their service includes pick up from the bus station. The exterior of the hotel is classic European Manor and the interior decor is beautifully done. We had a deluxe room with a spa bath - lovely after a days skiing when you are older. Everything we saw... More

Amazing staff. Nothing was a problem! The wonderful lady at the front desk really saved our bacon when our private transfer didn't show up to take us back to Nagano Station. Thank-You!! Spicy Ski Rentals is 20m from the front door. It was only a short walk to Happo One, Sakka chair lift and a purpose built trail to ski... More

My husband and I accompanied by 3 adult children and partners have just enjoyed a fabulous 5 day stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely efficient and courteous , the rooms comfortable and spotlessly clean . The hotel is a short walk ( and ski home) from the closest lift and the free shuttle to other ski fields is... More

We stayed here for 6 nights at the end of Feb, beginning of March. Echo the previous reviews, the rooms, albeit tiny, are very clean. The hotel amenities were great, laundry facilities, drying room & large bath in the basement. The area around the hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Walking distance to Sakka lifts and a few restaurants. The service I... More

We stayed in a room with a spa bath. The room was large spacious and very clean with a lovely view. The hotel staff were very courteous, hardworking and efficient. The service was first class. The restaurant provided excellent food and excellent service. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this unique boutique hotel. We came to ski and found it... More

I grew up in Tokyo until 1965 and used to hike in this area as a teenager to get away from the noise and dirt of the big city. On the way back from Osaka (where I had a business) to Tokyo (where my brother and sisters live), we decided to spend one night in Hakuba for a sentimental reason... More
