I was passing through hakuba and found this hotel to be a good choice. It was just before summer and as such not many places were open as all closed until winter. Price was reasonable with a bonus of both a buffet breakfast and dinner included (which was good as not a big range open in town). Both were fine.... More

We chose to stay at this hotel because of the attached Onsen and good reviews on TA - big mistake. This hotel is more catered towards Japanese, with separate beds in every room and very hard mattresses. After our first night both myself and my girlfriend had back issues for several days, and we refused to continue or stay after... More

When we first arrived at the hotel, we thought it was rather isolated but upon exploring the area, we found that it was situated halfway between the 2 main parts of Hakuba and easily reached by about a 10 minute walk. The foyer was very inviting with lots of comfy chairs. A shop was attached to the foyer too. The... More

We spent 4 nights in Hotel Hakuba for spring skiing. From Narita Airport to Hakuba my preferred choice by Chuo Taxi around 6 hours. 2 intermission stops before arriving destination. Each break rest for 15 mins. JPY 13,900 per head. Hakuba snow condition still good. Falling snow these few days. The reason we chose this hotel was because of its... More

very good facility and helpful staff. good Japanese & western style breakfast. ski rental house, free locker room(skis and boots are a little bit old), convenient shuttle buses to all skiing fields. good stay in winter season. and 4G free wifi all day long, wow..... The only thing is about the location. 20 mins walking distance to the main street... More

Mr. Yoshida at Hotel Hakuba was very friendly and helpful during our stay. The Hotel was clean, including onsen and restaurant. Stayed 4 nites and the buffet got a little boring, with repeat items. Overall food was good. Equipment rental shop had older worn equipment. I'd check with other shops if you need to rent gear. Convenience store about an... More

We have stayed here twice now and will stay again. Parking and a storage facility next to the parking lot make it easy for coming and going on those cold days. Good variety at the buffet for breakfast and dinner makes it great for kids and the onsen bath is perfect after a day of skiing. Nothing special about the... More

We recently stayed at Hotel Hakuba for 3 nights in December 2014. The hotel has an onsen (indoor and semi-outdoor) and provides breakfast and dinner on the property - perfect for relaxing evenings after a long day of skiing. We used the onsen every single night and food at the buffet table was great. The staff were very helpful but... More

Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to ski/snowboard in the area. With multiple free shuttles located directly on the hotels doorstep - you're perfectly located to visit all the mountains, and not just one. Breakfast and dinners offer great value as well. Staff were fantastic - even with our limited Japanese. Would definately stay here again, and recommend.

We stayed here two nights during our 3 week Japan trip. My son went snowboarding for a day. The room, onsen, breakfast etc, were perfect. A special mention for the front desk staff. Great service and attention to detail. We were pleasantly surprised, one sometimes forgets, great service still exists !
