We stayed here five nights and it's been fabulous. Although it's one of the more remote places out the end of Wadano no mori, this isn't a constraint because if you can't get to where you want to go by shuttle, Kazu will obligingly drop you off and pick you up. Kazu is extremely helpful even if he seems a... More

We loved this hotel! Kazu and his wife ('The president' of the hotel) are two of the nicest people we've ever met. They welcome you to this hotel on your first day with open arms by picking you up from the train station. Kazu then informs you of the amazing services provided for you at this hotel including ski in/ski... More

I stayed for 18 nights at Villa Hakuba Hotel in December. The hotel is a mix between traditional Western style pension and a Japanese minjuku. I stayed in a traditional Western room for half my trip and the shared bath/toilet room for half. Most westerner's opt for the traditional private bath room and most Japanese families opt for the shared... More

Located metres from Happo-One ski fields, Hotel Villa Hakuba is the perfect location for a skiing trip to Hakuba. We stayed for 7 nights, skiing for 6 days. We ventured to Hakuba 47 for one of those days but found that Happo-One had so many great runs that there was no need to go anywhere else and being able to... More

This was our second trip to Hakuba, previously staying at another hotel which was also good. But this hotel surpassed the other with its feel. Kazu is the most amazing host, would bend over backwards to help us out. The staff at the hotel were friendly and made you feel at home. Other bonuses were the free breakfast and 3... More

Kazu is the most wonderful and helpful host - he is always willing to offer you lifts around the area and can help with specific requests like arranging onsen visits etc. The accommodation is perfectly comfortable and there is something cool about staying the the athletes' accommodation from the 1998 winter olympics (the Swiss team no less I think). Sakka... More

We have stayed at Villa Hakuba 4 times over the past 6 years. Being avid skiiers, the lcoation is great! Being avid eaters the in-house breakfast and dinner package is superb!. Kazu is a helpful host and many of the staff are bi-lingual, making it easy to get information about the region and snow conditions. Having said this, Villa Hakuba... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 10 nights in late Jan/early Feb 2011. This hotel is right on Happo One. It is classified as ski in ski out- meaning within 100m or so of the lift. Whilst you can't put your skis on and ski straight down a hill, it is certainly very close to the lift and as... More

We stayed Villa Hakuba for a week in Feb 2011. Luckly we had blue high sky, no wind, powder snow for three days. You would be very impressed and refreshed by gorgeous view of Hakuba moutains. Kaz-san's shuttle bus service is so kind. Thank you very much. They have full English speaking workers to help non-Japanese guests. Hotel facilities are... More

The location is great, 1 min away from the lift, basically ski-in and ski-out. The owner Kazu is superb host, took us everywhere, hot spring bath, bus stop, convenience store...etc himself everyday. Breakfast was good, sufficient and delicious food. I love the apples from Fuji Mountain. Just came back from my ski trip to Hakuba for a week, still remembering... More
