(I seem to have 2 accounts, I apologize if this is a duplicate review). We stayed here in January. On the positive the room was large for our family of 5 and the staff was incredibly nice. However, for the price you pay for this place, it's extremely outdated. I find this consistent in most Japanese hotels, they don't update... More

We stayed here in January, after reading the reviews and price tag of this hotel, I expected much more of the accommodations. This place is very outdated - I understand the boom/rush for the Olympics many, many years ago but does anyone in Japan ever update anything? I find this consistent with hotels in Japan, high prices for old establishments.... More

Stayed here for a quiet May weekend. Staff were very helpful throughout. Booking through TripAdvisor was difficult to include a child, the hotel charged extra, but then upgraded us to a much bigger room for the second night. As with most Japanese hotels they often include dinner - but you might miss this option if you book through a Western... More

- Phenomenal service, staff were very helpful with special requests such as a organising a birthday cake, booking onsen, transport to/from train station … - English speaking staff at both hotel and the ski rental shop - A very cosy reception area with a fireplace where you can enjoy complimentary tea, popcorn (from a super cute and small popcorn machine),... Wow! What a great and comfortable hotel to stay in when skiing in Hakuba. There is nothing negative to say. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Absolutely amazing food and the staff are so helpful and serviceminded. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone that likes luxury and want a five... More

Hotel La Neige Higashikan is located 5 mins drive from Happoone Ski resort. It is a very convenient location. Ski rental is just a block away from the hotel entrance and the hotel staff will pretty much take care of your rental and return. You just need to go and try the equipment. I had a warm terrific stay here.... More

A return trip to Hakuba. I had previously eaten at the restaurant but this was my first time staying at La Neige Higashikan. Absolutely fantastic service and great people! A short walk to the chairlift (a snowboarding trip) although the staff are happy to drop you off in the car. On return, my boots, board and gear were looked after... More

Thankyou to all the staff at La Neige Hakuba for making our stay comfortable and nice. We had a corner room which was quite spacious. The spa bath was great after a big day of skiing. The beds were firm and the cushions comfy. We ate dinner at the grill the atmosphere was dull but the food was perfect I... More

stayed at the hotel la neige higashikan for 5 nights. The service was totally amazing, definitely worthy of a 5 star hotel!! We arrived in hakuba just a little past midnight at the bus terminal, and the hotel manager waited in the heavy snow and cold to pick us up. Each morning when we leave for our skiing, they would... The hotel and staff were amazing and the hotel was lovely. The perfect setting for a skiing holiday. I was not skiing so I had visions of sitting by the fire in the common area while my family were off skiing. That was the idea, but in reality it didn't happen. Every time I went downstairs I found teenagers lolling... More
