Good overnight stay in an onsen hotel, just at the shore of Lake Shikaribetsu. We booked a room with 10 mats. We have 5 adults and 1 child (5-year old). The room size is just nice. Tatami room with nice window view of frozen lake. You can go visit the 4-5 igloos just 5 min walk from the lobby. Have a drink at the Ice Bar. There's also an outdoor onsen in one of the igloos. Overall there wasn't much to do. Room was typical tatami room, well aged like the hotel. Wifi available but not... More

My wife and I stayed here for two nights en-route to Shiretoko National Park in February 2013. This hotel is perched right on the edge of a frozen lake. All rooms have beautiful views across the lake to the surrounding hills and peaks. We had a Japanese style room which was very comfortable and included a small sunny sitting area looking... More
