We stayed here for 5 nights early July 2014 and it was great. Each day we took the ropeway and walked different paths .We climbed Asahidake from both sides. Be warned walking from the far side away from ropeway involves a steep climb up snow and then a near vertical scree slope to the summit. The food was excellent; we... More

We stayed in a private Japanese style room for 3 nights in this hostel. Good indoor onsen, cold outdoor onsen. The staff are very friendly and helpful and speak more than enough English and Chinese to be able to converse in some pleasant conversation. The facilities are simple and clean and the atmosphere is of a lodge. Good large drying... More

We spent three nights here and loved it. Peaceful rooms, clean and friendly, nice outdoor and indoor onsen hot springs, and delicious (and huge) meals. We thought it was fairly priced, given the location and quality of the food, rooms, etc. Great spot!

We stayed for 2 nights up in Daisetsuzan after a few days in Niseko. The staff was helpful and friendly. They spoke some English. One or two spoke perfect English. There was little to no parking space. When we got there, there was no TV, WIFI or telephone reception due to the lines being cut and messed up after an... More

We stayed at this youth hostel two nights and were looking for reasons to extend our stay! The hosts were extremely nice and helpful, the food gorgeous and the onsen beautiful. The hikes to do in Daisetzusan National park are very easily accessible as the cable car is only a short walk away. Really great stay overall!

Stayed during a non-peak season with only 4 occupants. Total relaxation away from the city. Dinner & breakfast extremely filling. Room was spacious. Onsen was awesome especially outdoor. Bus stops right in front. Minutes walk away from ropeway

As a YH, this is a very pleasant one. The hostel is right next to a river stream, it always reminds one is in nature. We have our private room but shared bath/restroom, and we didn't find any inconvenience with the latter. Breakfast and dinner were all covered in price which makes it good value and food is of good... More

Stayed in a private room. Food was good. Could do with new bedding. Staff were friendly and helpful. Some staff spoke English. Onsen was nice. Overall happy however would probably try somewhere else if visiting again.

Just 5 mins walk from the tourist information desk and the Asahidake ropeway. Fabulous view from rooms. Good food, v clean rooms, friendly management fluent in English. And the outdoor onsen which guests use at no cost, has awesome views!
