This was a single night stopover, nevertheless, after a stressful day on the autoroute it's important that one feels instantly relaxed, well fed and gets a good night's sleep before the next gruelling stage of the journey. Our room was fine. I was looking forward to a hot bath but there was no bath plug. Great efforts were made by... More

I stayed here 1 night on my way down through France. I got a large double room with a nice view at a reasonable price. The place has a swimming pool which I made use of as soon as I arrived. Lovely bathroom with large bath was nice. food was top notch and reasonably priced.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel, staff were very friendly and accommodated our lack of French with grace. The food was perfectly adequate and the service was exceptional. Very friendly and unassuming, and we were made to feel very welcome. The pool was a great bonus and was clean with loungers on the terrace. Cancon is not a... More

We only ate at the restaurant. It was clean, basic as were the menu options. The local house wine, both red and white were very adequate. The presentation of the dishes was done with care. As the restaurnat was almost empty, the loud music was lowered so we could have a conversation.

We stopped here by chance for lunch and had the most delicious omelette and salad, and their coffee was the nicest we have had in France this trip. We shall definitely stop there again if we are driving through that part of France again.

The hotel had a friendly welcome from the family who owned the hotel. The swimming pool had plenty of chairs to relax on and was a good temperature. The restaurants in the local village did not seem very welcoming and we had dinner at the hotel. This was excellent value and a really nice meal. The breakfast was a bit... More

This was my second visit and I thought it very good value. Its not inspired cooking but wholesome and3 courses with wine and coffee for a little over 12 euros has to be a bargain. Very pleasant staff and general ambiance

A pretty hotel with a nice pool in a lovely location but next to a noisy road. The food was very average and the couple who run the hotel seemed friendly enough until we queried the bill then they suddenly stopped understanding English and became argumentative, all for the sake of 5 Euros that we felt they had overcharged us.... A disappointing hotel. The owners are extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful and, behind the hotel is a swimming pool with a pleasant lounging area. Unfortunately, we found other sitting-out areas areas impossible owing to the noise from the heavy traffic on the nearby main road. We had a room at the back of the hotel, so didn't suffer from traffic... More
