I've been coming to Naeba Prince for nearly 8 years and sadly over the past years I've noticed the complete dereliction of this once "princely" hotel . Let me say the beds are great , rooms are clean but that's about it. Seems the last update of decor was in 1923 and there have been few attempts to make it... More

The location is very good, just by the esqui resort. However the hotel is huge, crowded, outdated (estained, damaged old carpets everywhere), with endless corridors. Our room had a great view but was pretty small. The beds were tiny and too hard, very uncomfortable. The dining options are many but overpriced and most of them are full and/or serve all... More

A mixed bag... Ive stayed in a number of Prince hotels in Japan but this is by far the biggest. It a monolith of a hotel. Its also the most run down, tired and overpriced for food. Having said that the rooms were clean, comfortable and a little bigger than other Japanese hotel rooms. There are few other eating options... More

You need to be aware that it has no evening activities for any age group or comfortable seating in a cafe/ bar or lounge where you can have a drink. It does have a very large variety of places to eat of varied price ranges but is NOT a typical western ski resort. The rooms are comfortable but needing a... More

And not get to use the Onsen because of a tattoo. Really? I've lived in Japan for 10 years and now this rule, however, it's usually relaxed at a international resort. Prices are little expensive but whatever. Good location to ski. Lots of people though. Night ski is the best.

Our family of 4 arrived on Christmas Eve for a 7-day skiing trip. Snow conditions were above average except the first day. Ski rentals were of high quality. Slopes are more catered for intermediate level skiers. Wide variety of restaurants and eateries is the most appealing factor. The French fine dining offered us light hearted surprises. Room size is acceptable.... More

Christmas day. We arrived to find no snow. Yes we understand that this does happen. They did have three small trails open but it was granular fake snow. Upon arriving we asked to cancel to with we received a very quick "da-me" (nope in Japanese) so we then asked what they could do for us. If this was Colorado, Canada... More
