Great location, easy to get to from Tokyo, a wonderful resort for families and beginners alike. Wonderful service from all staff at all times, great onsen close to the piste. The only downside is purely cosmetic where the decor is a little dated and could do with a spruce up.

This stay was for my daughter's 5 years old birthday. It was truly an amazing trip. We had a family room which was basically two rooms connected together, so it was roomy with 4 beds. The best part was the room theme, it was the Pingu! My daugher was over the moon when she saw the room. The room package... More

This was a one night stay for a taste of the skiing and it worked very well. My Japanese friend and I took the train from Tokyo - under 2hrs - and then a taxi up the hill to the hotel. The snow was amazing - 3 meters deep on the road sides. The hotel is massive - 300 rooms?... More

We spent an all-too-short two nights at NASPA. We hope to return in the future. The hotel staff treated us like VIP's on arrival with a personal tour of all facilities and assistance with every aspect of our stay. Ms. Yamada has been mentioned by previous reviewers and I have to add to the praise heaped upon her. She works... More

This was truly a great vacation for our family! We are a Swiss/Italian family living in Singapore and wanted to find a place to have our 3 kids (8yo, 6yo and 4yo) learn how to ski. We feel so lucky we chose NASPA New Otani! First of all, it was very easy to get there. From Singapore, Yuzawa is much... More

The service from all staff is very friendly including the driver, just 100% top service. Naspa has perfect location for family skiing or even singles or groups of friends. I say this even though we ski every yr in Sydney but it's not for advanced skiers. Just step outside the hotel is the lift. Inside the hotel there's free lockers... More

Yes, I know: we are in Japan so sometimes we think it's a given that you get good service. But here everything looks great : it's the atmosphere, the willingness to help, the attention to details, the flexible thinking (yes, in Japan!), the vicinity to the slopes.......the hotel is not new, but it is kept in mint conditions and with... What an experience, the hotel is situated right on the snow. The staff were extremely helpful with all of our requests. The rooms have everything you require and are very comfortable. The buffet breakfast caters for both Japanese and Western and is plentiful. The free bus service to town runs on a regular schedule and if you miss the last... More

Here is the link of some areas of the hotel: http://youtu.be/-a1RKixOfl4 http://youtu.be/WGSchNoZbuQ My family and I are regular vacationers to Japan but we wanted to try something different. We always do the whole Tokyo, Fuji, Kyoto, & Osaka bit (which we love) but coming from a very hot and humid Island, we wanted to see snow and ski/snow board for... More

Think Club Med Japanese style and you have a pretty good idea about what to expect at Naspa New Otani ski garden. The hotel is mostly geared to families and to Japanese speaking families in particular. However, even though we didn't speak a word of Japanese we were able to just about negotiate our way around the resort and found... More
