Domaine de Montaigu is not far from Paris and in a Region full of history. Go visit Château de Pierrefonds. The rooms are very comfortable and cute. You'll be welcomed by 2 adorable dogs (Jack Russel) called Vicky & Elton. Check out pictures on their Facebook page. I would certainly go back in the Spring time.

Run by the charming young owner, Philippe de Reyer, who although speaking little english extends a warm and helpful welcome.
