Last winter I went to Biyunoyado for 2 weekends. I was just thinking about it today and thought I'd pop on and give it the review it deserves. Both times we were greeted at the door with a big smile and made feel welcome straight away. The rooms were spacious and the beds were so comfy we didn't want to... More

I almost do not know where to start. We were picked up from the station (Shiga Kogen) by staff and the hotel is about a 5 min ride away. We were greeted with warm towels and hot coffee. The hotel lobby has an amazing view that we soaked in while filling out the paperwork indicating our breakfast/dinner preferences. We opted... More

From the moment the train stopped and a driver was waiting(and had been waiting for each train) we knew this would be something different! The Manager Ms. Yuki Saisu whose English was perfect led the hotel team with charm, warmth and patience and catered to all our needs, suggested outings and made it undoubtedly the best stay of our entire... Nestled away from the hustle and bustle of the main cities, Yudanaka is a great place to relax and associate yourself more with Japan's countryside and traditional Japanese lifestyle. The people are very friendly and are more than willing to oblige in introducing you to their customs. The town has so many little surprises and ingenious ways of displaying how... More

Stayed at the Ryokan Biyonoyado and felt so well looked after. A gracious and spacious lobby with beautiful views met us on arrival after we were picked up from the station. All hosts were friendly and so helpful and English was no problem. Our rooms were similarly very comfortable and beautifully maintained. Meals were fantastic and the onsen most relaxing,... More

We do not make a lot of planning when we travel, when we arrived at Nagano we just knew we would take the local train towards Yudanaka. By coincidence we found Ryokan Biyu No Yado, and what a luck. Not only did we have a nice room and exelent food, we got a lot of knowledge about japanese culture in... More

When we arrived in Yudanaka station, we went to the Information booth to ask for the phone # of Ryokan Biyu no Yado. The Information staff was so nice that they called the ryokan for us to let them know that we had arrived. A staff member came to pick us up within 5 minutes. All the staff made us... More

Stayed one night, wish it was two! We were picked up at the station and taken for lunch at a nearby restraunt (where we got our first look at the monkeys who were pilfering from the garden). Then we were taken to the snow monkeys and recieved a guided tour of the town on the way, lovley place with a... More

This place is so nice! It's really spacious, there were English speaking staff and the location is great....It's right near the monkey park and they have another hotel up in the ski area too. This place has its own onsens (hot springs) which were just the right temperature. The food is fantastic too...and we could drink and celebrate there without... More

We really did not know what to expect, but we had such an awesome experience at the Ryokan Biyu no yado. The food was terrific - it tasted great and the presentation was perfect. We enjoyed the Onsen, which was so relaxing and refreshing. We have been to other Onsen, but the natural hot spring can't be beat. Seeing the... More
