My wife and I went to Kambayashi onsen this March during our honeymoon trip to Japan. We stayed 2 nights in the Jinpyokaku ryokan and we were absolutely delighted. We were initially there for the snow monkeys, but eventually, the stay in the hotel itself was an experience worth the trip. First of all, the setting was great. A bit... More

The experience here could not have been better - we arrived at Yudanaka Station and were greeted by a driver from the ryokan and when we got to Jinpyokaku our hostess (Maki-san - who speaks very good English) gave us the tour of the inn, the onsen and our suite (Kyorai) - beautiful - had a nice warm blanket and... Recently stayed here as a treat for the last night of our honeymoon. Best place we stayed in Japan without question. Can't fault the service, the lady who was assigned to look after us spoke good English and was incredibly friendly and nice. My wife is a strict vegetarian, and they managed to prepare amazing meals for us, mine with... More

Jinpyokaku Honten is a great Ryokan! We were picked up at the Yudanaka Train Station and we each had an upgraded room with private onsen. Jinpyokaku is an easy walk to the entrance of Jigokudani-yaen Koen (Snow Monkey Park)! The staff and owners provided "5 Star Service," which also included the traditional Japanese breakfast and seasonal dinners. Part of the... More

Our stay at Jinpyokaku Ryokan was truly an incredible experience We were extremely impressed by the kindness of the staff, by the gracious owner who is also a wonderful chef and the premisses which can rival any 5 stars hotels. We would recommend without hesitation to whoever is looking for a place to relaxed, be pampered and wash away any... More

Our stay at Jinpyokaku was a wonderful experience which has allowed us to redefine what a good Ryoken is all about. With genuine warmth and fine attention to detail, the service is flawless and the facilities impecable. We were particularly impressed with the seemingly small things such as the step produced to get up into the van upon pick up... More

Jinpyokaku was a delight from arrival to departure. The room was large with scenic views, and we appreciated the complimentaty powerful wifi that allowed us to get in touch with some friends who were worried about us as an earthquake had struck nagano a day before. Dinner consisted of local fresh produce that was cooked with a light touch to... More

Me and my partner splashed out and stayed here for one night in April during our 3 week trip to Japan. Yes it was expensive for us but I the experience will be unforgettable. The rooms were like small apartments with 2 bathrooms a living room, kitchen, bedroom, dress room and own private onsen with jacuzzi bath. All very traditional.... More
