Our group of 12 people stayed here for 5 nights. We did have a pleasant stay in Hotel Khuls which provided great hospitality. Breakfast and dinner served in buffet way with both western and Japanese food. This is a real ski in and out hotel, right on the slope of the center of ShigaKogen. Thank you Yamamoto San and hotel front... More

We stayed at Khuls for nine nights. We booked for six nights but the skiing conditions and hospitality was so good we stayed longer. The meals were excellent. Both Japanese and Western food. The location was perfect as we only had to ski out the door and down to the lifts. We had such a great time and are already... More

We've been heading up to Khuls most years since 2007. Safe to say that we love the place. Real ski in , ski out with and an entire floor dedicated to warm locker rooms, ski tech and hire desk. Ichinose is centrally located so over a four day stay you can ski most of the Shiga Kogen terrain as well... More

Our family of 6 was booked for a 5 night stay. My first impression of the hotel was not very good. The front desk staff was kind enough to check us in early but the room was not clean and I actually had to request that the bathroom and toilet be cleaned again as there were 'remnants' of the previous... English comment after Japanese. Just reasonable hotel has classic Japanese style rooms. Staffs are kind and polite. If you park your car far from the hotel the guy take you to the parking whenever you want. We stayed 29/3/2014, the rental skis and snow wares are free of charge. You have to pay a rental snow board. The meal... More

My fiancée and I visited Japan in mid-February of 2014. After experiencing Tokyo we took the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Nagano and then a bus to Hotel Khuls. The staff were polite and helpful in all regards. Breakfast and dinner were included in the room rate (very reasonable pricing!) and were served in a buffet style. It was a bit... More

Long overdue review but hope will be helpful for others. Whilst staying in Tokyo with son & girlfriend we had a week skiing here. It's a very easy journey on the bullet train & coach to the hotel door! We were offered a two double bedded family room after there were problems with one room we had booked originally. This... We are a family of five. This was first skiing experience for most of us. The location was great up against the ski runs, ski in/ ski out. The prices were very reasonable and the owner and staff extremely accommodating and helpful. Food was great. Stayed in April at the end of season which made things less crowded and we... More

We enjoyed it the first time so decided to come back. Very similar to the first in that the service is great, beds are still hard and too small for my husband, but overall very good. The food was the same as last year, which isn't bad as it was good the first time, but they hadn't updated anything. Breakfast... More
