English comment after Japanese. Just reasonable hotel has classic Japanese style rooms. Staffs are kind and polite. If you park your car far from the hotel the guy take you to the parking whenever you want. We stayed 29/3/2014, the rental skis and snow wares are free of charge. You have to pay a rental snow board. The meal... More

My fiancée and I visited Japan in mid-February of 2014. After experiencing Tokyo we took the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Nagano and then a bus to Hotel Khuls. The staff were polite and helpful in all regards. Breakfast and dinner were included in the room rate (very reasonable pricing!) and were served in a buffet style. It was a bit... More

Long overdue review but hope will be helpful for others. Whilst staying in Tokyo with son & girlfriend we had a week skiing here. It's a very easy journey on the bullet train & coach to the hotel door! We were offered a two double bedded family room after there were problems with one room we had booked originally. This... More

We are a family of five. This was first skiing experience for most of us. The location was great up against the ski runs, ski in/ ski out. The prices were very reasonable and the owner and staff extremely accommodating and helpful. Food was great. Stayed in April at the end of season which made things less crowded and we... More

We enjoyed it the first time so decided to come back. Very similar to the first in that the service is great, beds are still hard and too small for my husband, but overall very good. The food was the same as last year, which isn't bad as it was good the first time, but they hadn't updated anything. Breakfast... More

Background: We live in Tokyo and went skiing three times this season. First with a group in Hakuba, then at Shigakogen to see the snow monkeys, and finally in Niseko. We are a beginner snowboarder and an intermediate level skier. We chose the Hotel Khuls as part of a weekend bus tour package from Tokyo. The few English reviews were... More

This is a medium level hotel with excellent location, food and above excellent service. The hotel was a joy to stay at as it is ski in ski out and was always very clean. The staff were more than willing to help us with any concerns that we had, and the English speaking staff member Cho was one of the... More

Just returned from Shiga Kogen and stayed at Hotel Khuls. One young girl from Taiwan was the staff English speaker and her efforts along with the rest of the staff made for a great stay. It is ski in and ski out, right on the Ichinose family slopes. Buffet breakfast and dinner included and you wont go hungry. Rooms have... More

We stayed 8 nights party of 4 adults over New Years. Our fantastic stay began at Yudanaka station where Khuls owner Yamamoto and son picked us up and transported us to the hotel. We were greeted by Mrs Yamamoto who is very gracious with little english. Our stay was made extra special with the help of Cho who could speak... More
