Living in Delhi, for sure the best place in India. The staff is great, the food also... And the owners so friendly and knowledgeable. A must. A good balance between comfort and proximity with the nature. Safaris are well organized, and naturalists very professional. A great experience for a first time in kanha. For sure, we ll be back.

I have just returned from my fourth visit to Kipling Camp and it was as wonderful as ever. The camp is an oasis of calm and quiet where it is possible to mammal and bird watch without leaving the comfort of your chair on the veranda. The staff are like old friends and made me very welcome, lots of excellent... More

Kipling camp was a fantastic discovery. It really is exactly the way you would imagine a jungle retreat should be. The location was great and it was breath taking to see a herd of deer grazing in the forests ahead while eating breakfast outside. Cozy cottages with thoughtful touches like the hot water bottle in your bed at night, the... More

The Kipling staff made us so welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. It's right at the main entrance to Kanha and the rooms are set in their own part of the jungle. Tara, the resident elephant, is a star and bathing her is a lot of fun. The guys that work here are just fabulous, with great humour and... More

we spent four nights here, after a hectic week in Delhi, and it was welcome respite! we had booked 7 safari trips into the park, and were assigned a naturalist and driver to take us in to the park every morning and afternoon of our stay. they were extremely knowledgeable and the naturalist's english was excellent so there was no... This was our last stop on a very hectic 10 day tour of India and our favourite! The camp is set in a peaceful location and you instantly feel relaxed. The bungalows that you stay in are dotted around the camp and very comfy, but not luxurious (but this is a camp in the middle of nowhere!). As it is... More

Kipling Camp is a place where I wish to re-visit. The people running it were so helpful and friendly. We were the only group staying there and we felt we were treated like royalty. The food was excellent and nothing was ever too much trouble.Bathing the resident elephant, Tara, was a real treat. Being right in the middle of the... More

It was 16 years since we last visited Kipling Camp. Whilst the surrounding area has grown considerably with many more hotels and jeeps in the Wildlife Park, Kipling retains it's rustic charm and ambiance. The rooms are now great, camp staff very helpful and informative, and of course they still have Tara the wonderful elephant. The Naturalists who accompany you... More

It took two 16 hour train rides for us to reach Kipling camp and it was really worth it. The people at Kipling gave us a fabulous four days. From the moment their driver met us at the door of our train (how did he know which coach we were on?) to our being allowed to feed a last breakfast... More

We stepped out of our car to a wonderful welcome by the resident naturalist (Rohan) and the manager (both Indian) plus 2 charming British gap year students. To our amazement and delight, we were invited to choose between the room we booked (to share) or each our own room as other guests had cancelled. We each took a twin-bedded room... More
