From the moment we arrived at Flame of the Forest we felt at home. Karan, Isa and all the staff were so welcoming and helpful. The lodge is situated a few minutes drive from one of Kanha National Park gates. The 4 cottages and guest area overlook the Banja River. The water level was low whilst we were there but... More

Imagine you went to stay with your good friends in their house, a house that you had always thought was fantastic. That's what staying at Flame of the forest is like. Beautiful lodges, simply but elegantly furnished with style. Fantastic location, serenely quiet at all times and only a short drive to Kanha Park entrance. Food, we really liked this!... More

Its a surreal experience...the jungle, the staff, Karan and Isa, the surroundings, the amenities, the property, the royal treatment, the sounds, the river....and the glorious Beast. Whether you call it romance or an adventure, it is something you need to experience. Choose the right month, speak to Karan, book your tickets and leave the rest to them. Once in a... More

What more is there to say about this special lodge that hasn't already been said. We fell in love with it and Karen and Isa are the perfect hosts. The rooms and all the interiors are just stunning. great comfy beds, brilliant hosting and guiding by Karen and continuous cold beer! Karen's enthusiasm on the game drives was infectious and... We absolutely loved this lodge. Karan and Isa, the owners were so welcoming that it felt like we were one of the family. They were generous with their time and really wanted to make sure we had the best time. We were guided by Mohan who was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing this knowledge. When we came back from... More

Our first experience (reviewed previously) was based upon a three night stay(in November 2013).We loved it so much that we felt that SOMETIME we would like to return for a longer stay. We very rarely return to the same place and the same accommodation .We returned in March of THIS year and already talking about a third visit. The reason... More

hmmm, mixed feelings on our stay, we wanted to stay specifically in this lodge : it's small (only 4 cottages), they use the word 'boutique' (we like), and are mentioned on TA for their very personal service.. So expectations were high, as it could/should have all we like !! After a drive of 4,5 hours out of Bandhavgarh we arrived... More

Be rest assured that action for better management has already been implemented. However a little clarification : The outside bed called the Machan, has been taken out only a month prior... More
