We didn't stay in the accommodation but after the Sunday lunch we had there wouldn't be any hesitation in booking if we were looking for some where to stay, lovely food and friendly staff, we had the most delicious roast lunch I would recommend a isi

I stayed at this pub/hotel for one night when visiting the River Cottage HQ for a course on my own. i found it very friendly clean and comfortable. The food was of a high quality and large portions cooked by the owner. Breakfast was whatever you wanted from a very large selection.

Stayed here on Sat 21st March in one of the newly built rooms, spotlessly clean and thoughtfully decorated. Steve was happy to take my one night booking which was great and very good value for the standard of room. Tasty breakfast served in the pub in a very relaxed atmosphere. Would stay here again.

Wendy & Steve are excellent hosts. The rooms are very new and purpose built, they are very clean, practical and comfortable. The pub serves good, pub food using local produce. The breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend it.

Wow, my sister found this pub. What a find! Booked a table for 4 and we were looked after from the minute we walked through the door. Roast lunch - one we could die for. Delicious meat and vegetables - delicious. The dessert was mouth-watering. Will we go back - try and stop us!

Like many reviewers, we booked in at the Talbot Inn as we were visiting River Cottage and decided o stay down for a couple of nights. On arrival the pub was busy and quite obviously much loved by the locals. The owners, Steve & Wendy, and their entire staff immediately made us incredibly welcome and this continued throughout our stay.... More

Quiet, comfortable accommodation in village pub a stone's throw from Lyme Regis and River Cottage HQ. Good double room with en suite, toiletries and kettle. Landlord happy to lend me a hairdryer. Breakfast was tasty and fresh cooked with option of cereals, fresh fruit and toast. Did not eat evening meal but had a nice G&T at the bar and... More
