My family and I went down for lunch from our holiday let and the owners were lovely. It's a cozy, traditional English pub with excellent food and lovely staff. I'd highly recommend for any visitor or local.

The Talbot Arms was a 10 minute walk away from our holiday cottage so we made full use of it! Sunday Roast was lovely, everything was freshly cooked, the meat was gorgeous and the treacle tart for dessert was excellent (great pastry!). We also had an evening meal there, we hadn't booked but the young lady (Caitlin?) behind the bar... More

A great stay at the Talbot Arms. A warm welcome from Steve. Our room was extremely comfortable. Bathroom was modern and the shower was excellent. We had an evening meal in the pub which was very enjoyable. We indulged in a full Devon breakfast and didn't need feeding until the evening. Thoroughly recommended. You can walk to Lyme Regis from... We stayed at the Talbot Arms for two nights during a visit to River Cottage HQ. As soon as we entered the pub we were greeted by the wonderful Wendy who was quick to make us feel comfortable and show us to our room. The bedrooms are furnished to perfection and have a true feel of luxury to them. We... More

We were in the area for a wedding at River Cottage HQ, and the Talbot Arms was a perfect location for our weekend away. We were welcomed warmly, and our hosts were very friendly during our stay. Our lovely room was separated from the pub (the rooms are out past the garden patio seating area). The room was nicely appointed,... More

We stopped at the nearby Westley B & B whilst walking the SWCP and had a couple of Fillet Steaks after a gruelling 12 mile walk over Golden Cap from West Bay. The staff were great and very friendly. The steaks melted and were really full of flavour. It was a smashing and relaxing end to a good day. The... More

We were in Lyme Regis for a wedding so weren't able to check into the Arms until 12am. On arrival, everything had been arranged for a swift check in and the room was lovely and warm. Our hosts provided a fantastic breakfast in the morning and we're very friendly and welcoming. There is a path at the side of the... More

We didn't stay in the accommodation but after the Sunday lunch we had there wouldn't be any hesitation in booking if we were looking for some where to stay, lovely food and friendly staff, we had the most delicious roast lunch I would recommend a isi

I stayed at this pub/hotel for one night when visiting the River Cottage HQ for a course on my own. i found it very friendly clean and comfortable. The food was of a high quality and large portions cooked by the owner. Breakfast was whatever you wanted from a very large selection.

Stayed here on Sat 21st March in one of the newly built rooms, spotlessly clean and thoughtfully decorated. Steve was happy to take my one night booking which was great and very good value for the standard of room. Tasty breakfast served in the pub in a very relaxed atmosphere. Would stay here again.
