Stayed for a couple of nights whilst on a River Cottage cook day. The breakfasts were fantastic and set us up for the day. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and had really good quality beds, pillows etc. It was warm and cosy even in December. Lovely walk down through the meadow into Lyme Regis and bus home stops outside the... More

The perfect country pub! Sympathetic landscaping, tumbling streams crossed by a green & cream bridge, bounteous hanging baskets still going strong in mid-November! Good sized room with a very comfortable bed, quality furniture & fittings, great lighting, gleamingly clean bathroom and your own front door. All set back across the courtyard garden to ensure a peaceful night. We arrived to... More

Without a doubt the friendliest pub I have ever stayed in. Booked on recommend from River Cottage. Did not disappoint. Owners were fantastic and young staff were really polite and liked working there. It was nice to see the locals all frequent the place which gives it a proper local feel as well as a bed and breakfast A sign... More

Stayed one night as it's close to River Cottage- they sorted taxi for us. Friendly service, very clean comfortable room only lacking hair dryer. Pleasant 40 min walk along river to Lyme Regis. Plenty of choice at breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Hi Chris I, Thank you for your lovely review. We really appreciate that people take the time to leave us positive feedback. As for the hair dryers, we do have hair dryers available you just need to ask - however we have found if they are left in the rooms they do tend to go walkabout! Glad you found the... More

Stayed here as had overnight event in Kidlington - check in at bar, efficient and friendly - rooms a bit dated and in need of refurbishment but did the job! Breakfast - simply fantastic full English - huge portions, tea and coffee flowing - very welcome!

Hi lalabear01 Thank you for you review. We are really glad you enjoyed your stay although we can't quite understand the dated rooms comment. Our rooms have only been built 5 years ... And in that time have been updated several times - re painted every year and furniture has been replaced in all 5 rooms. We've bought all new... More

We stayed here for one night after attending a thanksgiving service in Axmouth. Our room was ready when we called in on our way which was great as we were able to leave our bags and freshen up after our journey from Sussex. The pub had a beer festival on over the weekend so were not doing their normal evening... More
