Decent quality, large hotel. Set in lovely grounds, ideal if you have lots of time to wander around and enjoy it. Pool, sauna, steam room and gym - all clean and worth a visit. Food was good, prices varied. Good for a business stop-off, as it's near the business parks, although I'd prefer something more individual and with more character... more

I booked this trip as a special weekend away with my mum/sister/godmother etc as there was a really good deal on, which we found through the website. Upon arriving, we were impressed by the grounds and building especially as the weather was so good. However, as soon as we began the check-in procedure, we encountered problems. Firstly, in spite of... more

We spent two nights being looked after for our 10th wedding anniversary and it was a beautiful building with great grounds for wondering around in. Check out the Italian Hanging Garden with fish pond with greedy huge fish wanting food all the time! Rooms were lovely and views fabulous. Big grand old building with lots of different rooms to explore... more

We had a one night stay in a twin room and had requested a cot/bed - just enough room in our ground floor room in the 'cottage' behind the block of rooms adjacent to the manor house. This suited well in moving child, buggy etc. It was also very quiet which was great. The grounds are extensive (great for a... more

My wife and I stayed for one night at this hotel on a promotional rate so should have known what to expect. The previous reviews concerning the 1960's architectural distaster called the Garden Bedrooms are not exaggerated. It is hideous. More like a Travel Lodge than what you expect from a Manor House Hotel. The walk from reception will keep... more

Lovely weekend away with our friends. We were lucky and managed to stay in the Manor House instead of the bedroom wing that has been mentioned here a few times. (We had a chat to reception at arrival and were moved into two unoccupied rooms in the Manor House) Our rooms were newly refurbished, beautifully done and very spacious with... more

Arrived on the Saturday for a nights stay at a bargain of £50, therefore I didn't really know what to expect. The hotel looks nice, but once I was checked in I was given a map (yes, a map) and directed to the 'Garden Bedroom wing' which looks like a 60s council block. Room was on the 2nd floor and... more

We stayed for 1 night in the Gable Cottages, which was great and in a quiet location. We stayed with our 5 month old son and found the room to be very spacious and newly decorated. The only downside to the room was that it was a little cold, due to the windows only being single glazed. However, the radiator... more

Having stayed at Staverton park recently we were expecting a similar standard. However, we were left disappointed. The Garden Block was in our opinion, not what we expected for a relaxing family weekend stay. We were placed on the 2nd level and due to the (so we heard, frequently) broken lift, lugged luggage and baby in pram up flights of... more

We stayed for a post-christmas getaway at this De Vere hotel using a promotional code that allowed us to get a double room for £29 for the night. The room we were given was in the main house and was beauitfully furnished, with a large spacious bathroom. There was a great choice of food at breakfast and the food was... more
