A little off the beaten track, this gem of an intimate cosy lodge provides just about everything you need. However, what makes it very special are the resident animals which provided hours of entertainment to my family. The animals included the resident warthogs (born under the lodge) with names such "Fatso", "Hop Along" and "Klingon" or the Kudu ("Cyclops"), the... More

Needles is ideally positioned, easy to reach while having good access to the Kruger Park. Nothing like having a sundowner with the animals passing within meters. Needles is comfortable lodging with great food. The host makes sure you have an unforgettable African bush experience. Deffinately worth another visit.

Needles has a common fence with the Kruger National Park and I would stay here every time as it is a short drive to the Kruger gate. 1. The food beats anything you can get at Kruger. 2. There is a comfortable deck that attracts animals. While having a drink, I saw Wildebeest, Fruit Bats, Bush Baby, Warthog, Zebra and... More

Needles Lodge is really quite faultless. The Management and staff are attentive to your every need, the rooms are cozy and spacious, and the food is absolutely out of this world. And the animals are all around you, up close and personal. A truly fabulous place that will keep you guessing for the next thrilling adventure. Teri M

We travel extensively, but our visit to Needles Lodge was the highlight of our travels for the last 2 years. A five star review does not do justice to the amazing experience, from the fantastic food and friendly staff, to the "Big 5" on your doorstep. This is a wonderful romantic getaway, or a great family experience. We can't wait... More

Awesome venue, just a short easy drive from KZN, wonderful people, great staff and awesome food. Company was great and the game drive was a great experience. A "must visit" destination to place on your bucket list. Jacques and Janeen SA

I have just returned from 5 days at Needles Lodge and can tell you it was the best time ever. We all had a fabulous time, the rooms are excellent with a bed that was so comfy with pure Egyptian cotton sheets, you don’t want to get out of it. The food is to die for, breakfast cooked just as... We stayed at the lodge for two days and absolutely loved it. Decor and ambiance was GREAT. The food and service was excellent. Hosts are very helpful and make you feel comfortable. Animals come up to the back fence - zebras, Kudu etc. Absolutely recommend it. And the safaries they arranged for us were very good and very flexible.
