Phumula has become our first choice stay in Marloth due to it being very well located in proximity to the Kruger Park and the Mozambique border . It provides a peaceful setting with lots of privacy and not to mention the excellent food the restaurant offers after a long day in the Kruger. Great on hospitality. The friendly service from... We stayed there when we could not get a booking in the Kruger national park, Everyday we then drove to Kruger to view animals. We loved Marloth park. Peaceful. You have the option to cook or use the restaurant. Animals walking in front of your bedroom.

Unit no 3 Not what one would expect from a 3 star lodge. Fridge rusted with broken handle, all appliances substandard. Uncomfortable and dangerous staircase. One cannot stand upright at upstairs main bedroom's wash basin. (too close to the roof) Outside property can definitely be better maintained although it is winter.

everything is old and the upkeep of the place is not good. it needs a lot of maintenance. For us it wasn't value for our money. the bedding was clean, and neat. the kitchen was terrible and not cleaned properly.

We visited the restaurant on a Sunday for a late lunch and enjoyed a relaxing afternoon under the thatched lapa which has a couple of big screen tv's so is perfect if you want to watch your favourite weekend sport (the owners were kind enough to show the football match that we were keen to see). The menu has a... More

The guest next to us opened the door from their side into our apartment...... They played a TV till 2 in the morning, drank and were very loud. We had to call security after 1 in the morning to break up the party.

A very comfortable, quiet, secluded room with great beds. Well enough appointed for a comfortable stay. Great restuarant with good value for money meals. Only draw back was the shower which was designed for Pygmys and with me at 1.9m it was a bit bit of joke showering on my knees. Will definately be back pending shower modifications.

I did not stay at the lodge but I was travelling with friends and they suggested we stop at the restaurant which is open to the public. We sat in the garden under an open area with thatched roof. Inside seating available if desired. Very relaxed atmosphere and the service was good, translating a few things for the Aussie. My... More
