We stayed as a family of 9 at the Maqueda Lodge. We really enjoyed our time at the lodge - very nice accommodation nearby the Kruger park and we enjoyed very professionaly organized game drives. All the rooms were spotlessly clean and the service was excellent! François was incredibly helpful, courteous and kind - the food was worthy a star... More

Much cheaper than staying in Kruger, but so close to it. Still have plenty of animals roaming through Marloth Park. The food and service are outstanding. Francois and family take very good care of their guests. They organized all the safaris and day trips I did. Brilliant. Totally recommend the Panorama Route as well as Safaris. Swaziland wasn't so great... More

A great place with style, cosy and warm furniture in comfortable rooms and several common areas where to relax and meet other guests, welcoming and professional host and personnel, clean and well maintained, excellent food, a small structure for 10-12 guests, VERY relaxing

It was amazing!!!! Francois was so great, friendly, humorous, it was a lovely staying! And the food was worth a star of the Michelin restaurants. Also our rides into the kruger park with Kobus were great! It was a dream that came true thanks to them! Thank you!

My friend and I stayed 5 nights in total at maqueda, this was on of the best experiences of my life. Francois and his family went above and beyond to make our trip very special. All the tours Francois offers are amazing and the guides are great. The three course meal every night and packed breakfast were delicious. I will... More

What an amazing experience. This was the top of our 3 weeks tour of South Africa and one of the reasons to come back again. We stayed for 2 nights which we agreed after the first night that it's way too short!! The welcome, food, rooms, atmosphere, game drives, service... All was top. Thank you Etienne for giving us a... The highlight of this lodge is the very warm hospitality offered by Francois and his family. Nothing is too much trouble and they try to anticipate your wishes. The food also deserves a special mention. The cooked breakfasts are fine, the packed breakfasts (for early safari starts) are also fine but the four course dinners are something special. An honour... We stayed three nights at Maqueda, and were genuinely sad to leave at day 4... The lodge's open air living room is worth the visit by itself (watching bush babies and genets watching you during and after dinner), and that's just the beginning: Maqueda/Marloth Park is well located, a great home base for visits to Kruger NP, Swaziland and Maputo/Mozambique.... This was by far one of the best places we have ever stayed, we spent 3 weeks travelling around South Africa and Zimbabwe. The hospitality here was so wonderful and the food is to die for! Etienne is a brilliant chef, serving us 3 course meals every night of some of the most delicious food cooked to perfection. Francios was... More
