I expected the place to be busy but very quiet for a sunny Sunday afternoon. Food was good but nothing special. Please do not order the pudding unless you want to be ripped off. One slice of chocolate cake which was probably a slice of a £1.50 whole boxed cake from asda and a drop of fresh cream for £5.25.... More

We stayed nearby at a campsite and came to this pub 3 times!!! My husband said the seafood platter (starter) and the Mussels (main) were the best he'd ever eaten. I had the garlic mushrooms which were absolutely delicious. Steak was nice, curry nice but the stroganoff was a bit oily?? Would definitely go again and the girl who serves... More

The young woman who served us was very pleasant, but nevertheless the interior of this pub left us a bit cold. It's just a bit dreary and uncared for, really. My husband had fish and chips which he said was 'ok' - I wasn't really in the mood for fried food or pie and so he had suggested I have... More

We were staying a couple of miles away, and were told that a number of previous residents had been here to eat and had been happy. Lovely building from the outside, but when we went in the very old building looked to have been ruined in the 1970s by covering all the original features. We were given menus, fairly limited,... Visited this pub for an evening meal whilst camping in the area following recommendations from our campsite owner. Went in the pub with my 13 year old son and at first the few people in there went silent and I felt uncomfortable and thought it was because I had a a child with me. Approached the bar and a lovely... More
