We stayed at this 17th Century Inn last night as we were attending a family event. The room was clean and very comfortable. The welcome we received was warm and friendly and the breakfast ths morning, probably the best I have ever had. Well recommended.

We have stayed twice now at this lovely pub. A family business with a great team. Location is in a quiet village so no traffic noise. Supper in the bar was excellent , just the ticket. There are special menu evenings which fun in the village. Book early as there are only a few rooms and it is popular !

Been to the horse and groom with my family a number of times but only just got round to reviewing it! Had lots of lovely meals from the roast beef to a lovely large plaice. The service was lovely and efficient! We will be back again!

This pub was dead a few years back, but the current owners have brought it back to life by offering superb food in a lovely environment without alienating the locals, as is so often the case when a country pub is refurbished. There are themed food nights: Monday's 2-4-1 Burgers are a must: super value and super tasty; Wednesday is... More

We found the Horse and Groom on our way to the Hook Norton brewery. We only had time for a quick lunch, but the sandwiches were scrummy. We saw the desserts coming out and were sorry we didn't have more time!!!

The twin room was comfortable, if a bit small, and had everything we required. I thought the pub was cold and lacked a bit of character on the first night but the following evening was curry night, which was very popular, and the fire was lit which helped make it much more cosy. The landlord and landlady were both very... More

A lovely old pub/restaurant with a warm welcome from the proprietor and staff. A cosy bar, complete with a large fireplace and wood burning stove, where we also able to have our evening meal, was full of friendly locals, mostly enjoying the lovely food. The only problems we encountered were the noise from the bar, which we could hear in... More

can't understand the last review. I find all the staff really polite and positive. The food is excellent, the owners flexible and really helpful. It is a real pub with 'locals' and a charming atmosphere - always a point of call when in the area. Last week they had a real moaner in, complained about everything but hadn't bothered to... More

We had a super Sunday lunch here some time ago and have just had the pleasure of going again, this time for a two night stay. We were arriving early so they offered to prepare our room early for us. Our room was nice and clean and comfortable with a nice en suite with a nice view over the village... More
