It's a great ski in ski out hotel with fabulous slopes. It's perfect for beginner skiers, with dedicated and passionate ski instructors in one on one ski lessons. There's a freedom park for jumps and tricks and the snow condition was great. It has a range of fun activities for kids and family, however it is quite expensive. The room... More

This hotel is located around 90 minutes by car from Sapporo. The main Rusutsu accommodation consists of two large hotels. The Rusutsu Resort Hotel and the Rusutsu Tower. I stayed in "Resort and Hotel". In the hotel has the amusement park and plaza also. There are many restaurants in the hotel. Their food is very variety. There are many kind... More

Playing golf at a deep forest in Hokkaid was cool and nice for a retreat in hot summer. The package was moderate and the accomodation at the North Wing was nice. Golf was not crowded andthe courses were well maintained except River Course. Restaurants like OctoberFest was a bit crowded at peak time, but those at Tower seemed not. The... More

I visited Japan for a month the summer I turned 14 and my host family and I stayed here for a night. Between the carousel, the pool with water slide, and the shopping and dining right in the hotel, I didn't want to leave. Such a great time!

[Note to serious skiers - as an unathletic person and first-time skier, my review is not likely to be helpful to you if you're interested in the skiing part of the experience.] We stayed at Rusutsu for three nights during the week before Christmas 2013. It was the beginning of the ski season so the resort was very quiet and... More

Closer to Chitose airport by 40min., than Niseko area. Operated by single company which result in well established facilities and relatively good service everywhere. Newest Tower Hotel is built in 1993 but still holds superb atmosphere if you compare with other ski resort hotels in Japan. Best for children under 10 years old since they have fun swimming pool and... More

Very stingy old room, stained carpet, bugs, with plumbing that backflows. It really not much better than $30/night motel. Dining option is quite limited. I would probably stay in Niseko area and spend drive to ski at Rusutsu.

Stayed in Feb 2014 on a budget 1 night 2 days package. Very reasonable pricing. Excellent resort. Helpful staff. Powder snow , great wide runs. No queues at the lifts. Would be even better if there was wi-fi in the Lodge as well. However we would come back again.

A perfect ski-in/ski-out location in Hokkaido, Japan. North and South Wings are adjacent to lifts on West Mountain. Good-sized rooms(especially on 5th floor with vaulted ceilings), clean but a bit thread-bare and dated. This is a self-contained resort with multiple restaurants and winter activities for the entire family (numerous young families with children stay here) including male and female onsens,... More
