This was our 4th skiing holiday stay at Rusutsu Resort and it was great like always- we keep coming back because it is so good - great powder snow - no waiting on the lifts - large choice of restaurants and the Onsen is great !

We stayed for a 8 days / 7 nights ski trip in the South Tower. This is our 2nd trip to Rusutsu as we really enjoyed it last year. The snow condition was excellent - consistent fluffy powder snow with fresh snow fall almost everyday. They've upgraded the ski lift system to use electronic passes which made it more convenient.... Just had 13 fabulous days at Rusutsu. Great ski resort, fantastic family skiing. Resort is great with good sized 2 bedroom apartment with plenty of room for 6. Rooms and resort are showing sign of age and in need of a renovation to make the room match the 5 star pricing. The beds and pillows and lounge room need upgrading!... More

A large hotel which is ski in ski out, great breakfast buffet - I tried the western one, as well as the Japanese buffet. The food was delicious and set me up for my skiing days. The onsen, its ameneties - all shisheido products - the indoor and outdoor onsen area as well as the coloured spa (depending on which... More

A very large hotel, which is divided into a North, South and Tower wings. We stayed in a Superior room in the South wing which was fairly large by Japanese standards and very comfortable. This wing is the closest, and most accessible to the ski hire and ski chairs which service the Beginners and Intermediate slopes. The Onsen or sauna,... More

Fantastic mountain for all levels and very good snowboard instructor (Hewyel). We thought the food was great and our room nice, tho the early closing times for the restaurants and shops is our only critique. Overall, a nice trip and we plan to return next year.

A vast and somewhat confusing hotel. To get from ski locker to room in North wing takes on multiple escalators and separate lifts and a decent hike. Hotel is reticent to give information about some good small eating places outside. Decor takes on a theme park look of the 80's which has not been upgraded and is pretty kitch. Room... More

Okay, so most people go here for the snow and the skiing. Some people also come here for a conference, but they're really just here for the skiing as well. I organised a package deal with the Rusutsu hotel including room rate, breakfast, and lift passes - and I was comfortable with the price. The snow and the skiing here... More

I wasn't convinced from the pictures or the booking process - as it comes across as a giant resort and the email booking was a little random, but it was great. We'd definitely come again. Staff are lovely, the location is perfect - you can ski across 3 areas via the lifts and gondolas, there's 2 beginners' slopes outside the... More

We had 6 days of awesomeness. Plenty of snow in mid January followed up with a few blue bird days. Food package just worked. Mt Isola and East mountain tree runs are the bollox. Will be back for more pow.
