Beautiful chateaux in a superb location. Decor is generally very tasteful and unusual. First impressions were fantastic. Welcome was very professional and friendly. We asked for sandwiches for lunch and although the hotel restaurant isn't open at lunchtime they were happy to make them for us. Our room was a good size and well furnished. The bathroom was huge with... More

We took a little time to locate this from the main N/S A75 mountain motorway - but that's because we chose to get off the main road and meander around delightful tiny and quiet villages before asking a local to point us in the right direction (will read the website directions next time!) Atop a rural hill surrounded by fields... More

Stayed at Chateau d'Orfeuillette for just one night, which was long enough. We had a room in the Orangerie, which was large enough and tastefully decorated, but everything was a little worn. Paint peeling, screws loose, two large holes drilled into the side of the vanity. The promised in room minibar was non-existent. You can hear traffic from the nearby... More

Beautiful castle. There is a big garden, and it is nice to take a walk. The room is renovated recently and it is really modern and design. Of course the staffs are nice.

Stayed here for one night whilst travelling down to Northern Spain. Booked the cheapest room as I was travelling with my father so we need 2 room but we were upgraded to 2 wonderful rooms. Both the rooms were very different to each other but both were great. I found the bed very comfortable and loved the heated floor in... More

We travel from Spain across France each year and had spotted this hotel by chance the previous year. It is located close to the motorway but far enough away from everything in its own secluded estate. Our room was huge and everything was beautifully presented. The staff were delightful and the food was outstanding - both in quality and value.... More

Perfectly placed for a stop if you are headed to Northern Spain. The hotel has been renovated in a deliberately tongue in cheek fashion. We were split on whether we liked it, but agreed that it is a refreshing change from the typical faux 19th century decor that similar establishments sport. We stayed in the suite luxe which has fabulous... More

This hotel is ideally placed about a mile from Junction 32 of the A75, and it is in a delightful situation in its own grounds. The Château has recently been given a make-over but, in our view, it has taken away all the character of such an old building. Apart from ourselves, there was only one other couple staying, so... We stayed here on a Monday night and were upgraded to a luxury room immediately. It is an old property but our room was gorgeous. Lots of stone and carved oak. The bed was enormous and the room spacious. The bathroom was sumptuous in marble. The ground were lovely although it was a bit odd to discover hens and geese... More

This is a place that has definitely seen better days. We booked this hotel having seen the pictures on the website. Unfortunately, they bear little resemblance to the actual hotel and my heart sank when we pulled into the car park. The rather dilapidated gatehouse seems to have been turned into a chicken run which is one of the first... More
