We visited twice and had delicious food on both occasions. Service is swift even though it's freshly cooked to order. Local ingredients ensure lots of flavour and there's a varied menu. Lovely setting with most tables looking over fields to Scapa Flow. Seating is comfortable.

When I booked the room in the B&B I also booked a table for the Saturday night as we were told it could get busy at that time of year. On arrival we were asked to dine at 6pm as they might be busy later. After thought, decided we didn't want to have dinner that early and were going to... More

New owners will have to work hard to build the B & B up. We stayed in the B & B. Good clean rooms. Breakfast was well cooked hot and good, most places now offer fruit but this was not on the menu. Please try, there is room for improvement. See my restarunt review. Wi fi poor in some areas.

Very well located in the centre of Mainland, Orphir makes a great base to explore the archaeology, the wildlife and the scenery of the island. We stayed in the self catering flat of The Noust and enjoyed so very much the first class accommodation, the welcome from Ann and Davie and the opportunity to enjoy the fine food ( fresh... More

We stayed elsewhere but found the Noust a great place for a meal. The view is fantastic and out the other window you can watch the sheep. The manager was friendly and it was nice to have a chat with a local . The food was well presented and tasted wonderful. Everything was clean and comfortable. Wished we had found... More

We ate here twice while on holiday as we were staying at the Scapa Flow Lodges 2 minutes along the road. Everything is served with chips as its bar food but on both nights what we had was lovely. The owner is a very friendly and helpful guy.

We booked for a week for our 1st visit to Orkney, we were not dissapointed. The Noust far exceeded our expectations and there were ice touches like local oatcakes and local fudge and milk in the fridge for our arrival. The self catering apartment was spotlessly clean and was well laid out with open plan living/Dining/Kitchen area nd a view... More

We rented the self catering flat for two nights. It was everything we could have hoped for and more. Our stay was extremely comfortable thanks to our hosts thoughtfulness. The shower was amazing, kitchen clean & well equipped. Like home, but better :) Lovely neighbours (sheep) and easy access to Kirkwall.

Very clean and comfortable room. Nice hospitality tray topped up daily. A real joy to return to the room to dry off and warm up after a very wet day sightseeing! Good food in the bar too...would recommend both to Orkney visitors. Only one down side was that we did spot a much better double room with gorgeous views out... More
