Me and my girlfriend stayed here for two nights on our two week journey through southwestern France and it was by far the best place we stayed at. Pierre and Alix, the hosts, where so warm and welcoming. They helped out with anything and everything! The Chateau itself is nothing but magical, none of the pictures you can find does... More

Chateaux de Pitray is the most perfect place to stay in Bordeaux: it is a real fairytale castle near Saint-Emilion, surrounded by forest and vineyards, and hosted by the lovely and friendly Pierre and Alix. We felt as we were their private guests! We stayed three nights in the green room of 40 sqm with a bathroom of 25 sqm and... More

Me and three friends decided to stay in Chateau de Pitray for a few nights on our road trip from the south of France to Paris in August and we are so glad that we did. Chateau de Pitray is stunning, picturesque and extremely comfortable. The pool was the perfect temperature to cool off in and the surrounding land and... More

A small group of my friends and I used Chateau Pitray as our home base for a week of bicycle riding. The chateau is an amazing structure which was constructed in the 1860's and has been maintained and updated in a very tastful manner. The five sleeping rooms and common areas are well decorated and everything fits together very nicely.... More

My family and I just had to spend a few nights at this wonderful dreamy chateau in France. The owners were very gracious and helpful when we arrived and the breakfast and wine tour were so special just for us. The estate has several themed rooms and we stayed in the green room that had an adjoining room and bath.... More

What a fantastic chateau! - the rooms are individual, spacious and have fantastic very large bathrooms attached - breakfast is very individual and in family atmosphere - the chateau is not directly at the vineyards but has a great view on the surrounding woods - the pool is very chilly but great refreshment - we had the chance to participate... Perfect two night stay last week at Pitray. The chateau is beautiful - the rooms are huge and the hosts could not be more welcoming or friendly. We really enjoyed the tour of the property and the vineyards and also the swimming pool. Breakfast also great. It seemed a shame at first to have to drive out for dinner -... More

Pierre and his wife were wonderful hosts for the four nights we were there, helping us to book wine trips around St Emilion, chateau visits and make restaurant recommendations. Our bedroom was huge, and the ensuite bathoom was almost as big (used to be a bedroom so light and airy). Breakfast is classic continental, with eggs and cereal when we... More

We stayed at the magnificent Chateau de Pitray in the beginning of July last year. We had such a lovely time and were pleasantly surprised by the hospitable hosts and the stately chambers. We especially enjoyed the tour in the winery and chateau, the royal breakfast room and in general the unique atmosphere. The previous reviews say it all. Highly... More

I'm happy to agree with all the glowing reviews about this spectacular property and the wonderful hosts, Pierre and Alix Boigne. I can't think of one negative at all. We really enjoyed the winery tour and corked a few bottles of the delicious "Madame". We enjoyed some fun guests and spent time with everyone on the terrace having our own... More
