Have to agree with other reviewers - Martyn & family gave us a very warm welcome and lots of suggestions for things to do in the area during our three night stay. Food was great too. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

Super friendly and informative English owners. They have cooked for us too for dinner. Loin of pork with veggies and 1 litre of wine. A real old fashion B&B. We sat down all night talking to the owner like if he was a good friend. Great feeling! Great breakfast. The walls were very thin. We could hear a guy talking... More

What a great place to stay. A charming quiet traditional French village with its own museum and chateau. Martyn and all the family were such lovely hosts we could not have been made more welcome. We will be back. Come on you blues.

What a wonderful experience. Martyn and his family made me feel very welcome and comfortable. Amazing views, very central for day visits out to some beautiful places. Martyn was very helpful, suggesting some great itineraries each day. Then after a day out, I came back to be treated to great home cooked food. This place ticks all the boxes.

For the 10th year I took a party of walkers from the UK to stay at Au Petit Verger and walk some of the many footpaths in the area. If anything, the experience this year was better than ever. Food was excellent and Martyn even came out to meet us one day and set up a BBQ in the woods... More

I stayed here for 4 nights in Sept. APV is conveniently located on the main road between Quillan and the north/south route that runs from Foix to Tarascon. Martyn, his wife, and very sweet children will make you feel at home. One day, unprompted, his little boy, maybe 5? offered me one of the cupcakes he had decorated. The rooms... More

Just one night's stay on the Cathar Way walk. We had a lovely room with a view over the hills at the front of the building and lots of light. Great shower, lots of hot water - important after a long walk! Really good food, simple and fresh, mostly from the garden. Friendly and helpful hosts, made us feel at... More

Recently spent 3 nights here; peaceful location, friendly, hospitable and knowledgable host for whom nothing is too much trouble. Made to feel completely at home by Martin and his family. OK, it's not 4 star luxury, but you can't expect that in a small pension in an area that caters mainly for walkers, cyclists and the like. Rooms are clean... More
