We arrived in St Peter's without any idea where to stay. After a quick look round and seeing all three inns in town, we opted to see if the Bras D'Or had any rooms. Fortunately they did, we got a very warm welcome from the staff and a large room on the main room overlooking the lake. The room was... More

We are delighted that you chose to stay with us in St. Peter’s. You are right, we just upgraded all our in-room coffee makers to the K-Cup® technology! This compliments the fridge and microwave to give you some independence during your stay. And I agree, the breakfast buffet is a great value. We also try to ensure the dining experience... More

After a long day of traveling with my 3 daughters we arrived at this Inn. We were welcomed so warmly by all the staff ( especially the ladies from Kitchener)even their chocolate lab was so friendly! We truly enjoyed the prime rib and the pecan pie was the best that I have ever had! My girls still talk about our... More

My group and I rived at the Bras d'Or Lakes Inn by accident. We had been in the car all day as it had been raining. When we arrived we were greeted immediately, and the hotels amenities described. We had decided on the Bras d'Or Lakes Inn b/c it had a hot tub available. The hot tub had an amazing... More

My wife and I could not have been more pleased with the wonderful time we spent at the Inn. Both Jean-Pierre and Pierre were so helpful in every way-they really made us feel at home. Jean-Pierre is an excellent chef and all 3 nights we had dinner in their very pleasant dining room, accompanied by excellent food. An additional plus... More

After a long day of driving the coast, I was looking forward to a nice relaxing evening at the hotel. I was greeted warmly by the owner and the other members of the staff. It felt like I walked into a small B&B than a hotel. The place was clean and well appointed. The place looked like a huge log... More

We spent the weekend in the Bras d'or Lakes Inn. I must say we were very pleased with condition of the premises and the food. St Peter's is a beautiful place in Nova Scotia where the canal allows boats to enter the Bras D'or Lakes from the Atlantic Ocean. The rooms were comfortable and very very clean. Washrooms well maintained... More

St. Peter’s is a beautiful place where the ocean meets the inland sea by way of the historic St. peter's canal. Jean Pierre and Rhoda are glad to have purchased the Inn some 10 years ago and managed it in such a manner that they can provide their clients, and instill in their staff, some of the best of values... The Bras d'Or Inn is a gem in the picturesqueness of Cape Breton. A quaint log-style inn, with a fabulous dinner menu. Our room was cozy, wooden log panelled walls with the most comfortable beds to sink down into. It wasn't a big room, but enough for a couple of nights stay. The bathroom was sparkly clean. Morning buffet had... More

Thanks Bob for sharing your thoughts about the Inn. It is wonderful you fully enjoyed the dining and accommodation and Bailey's welcome wag. And of course, if we were Bailey, our tail would be wagging too! Being a dog or cat in Cape Breton is great. Living at the Inn – imagine. More

A good choice if you are in the St. Peters area. Nice views from the back of the Inn. Unfortunately we had a room which had the largest electrical cables I have seen attached to the building just outside our window. Putting that aside the rooms were clean, comfortable and with all the amenities. We attended a Ceilidh held at... More

The Rustic charm with waterfront views from the back, accommodating staff and excellent dining are a few of the amenities at the Inn that we hope everyone recognizes. We internally do recognize that the power entrance into the building was not designed nor placed with much aesthetic consideration – and hence the room you were in is usually the last... More
