Room is updated, clean, spacious, warm, cosy, .... I can go on and on. We were very impressed from moment 1. Would return without hesitation and will definitely recommend to others. Booking was simple and we were welcomed with friendliness. Entire suite is updated, trendy with a European style. Will return for sure.

We stopped in St. Peter's in early September at about 8:00PM, and it seemed like the town was dead. Most of the restaurants had already closed their kitchens for the night, and the hotel restaurant at the lodgings was also closed. Our room was spacious, and comfortable, but a bit sparse. It was nice that the suite, dubbed "Mary's Room",... More

This day it was very busy and the owner sat and entertained her own guests and no other guests. The waitress was run off her feet while the owner sat with her friends and served them coffee and food but ignored everyone else. She was back and forth to the kitchen for herself, even blowing her nose in the doorway... More

In the heart of the small Cape Breton town of St. Peter's lies a lovely turn of the century two storey rail house, now operating as the A MacDonald Country Inn. While the exterior looks very traditional much of the interior has been renovated to accommodate the various functions of the inn. While very clean and well maintained, the inn... More

We didn't have a reservation however it was our lucky day when we turned in to this delightful location on the St. Peters Canal. The staff loved their jobs and it showed with the attention we got at meal time. The evening entertainment was so cool.

4 days Stopover at "A. MacDonald Country Inn”, St. Peters Looked very inviting as we drove into St Peters, well rewarded during our brief stopover. Stayed in front room to right at end. For a room facing the street nice, quiet, clean, and cozie. Family run business with all the friendliness one could want. Breakfast next day reasonably priced and staff... More

The outside of the Inn is very nice but it stops there! The room was clean and the bed comfortable BUT it was furnished from garage sale rejects! After staying in some very beautiful Inns and b&bs I was really disappointed. When in the bathroom you could hear noise and voices coming from the dining room! I think there was... More

This is very nice Inn. I travel to St Peters for business. I have stayed here on a couple of occasions and the hospitality is great. The rooms have a European style and comfort. Each room has a different name. The Inn is close to your every need. I will make return visits.

Very nice Inn, the place is very well situated near every commodities, we where book in Josie's room but when the lady saw me she upgraded our room at no extra cost for a room on the first floor with a bigger bed and more convenient to unload the motorcycle. Room was sparkling clean and comfortable. Great place to stay...
