Driving in is special- hotel Mt Fuji is quite a way up the drive way perched on the top of a mountain. Level 4 has been re-furbished last month. We had a Japanese western room which was clean neat modern & spacious with a little balcony overlooking Fuji-spectacular views! They also provided a baby cot for ¥2000. We also saw... More

Book this hotel because of its location. Hotel is built on the middle of the mountain,1000 ft. above sea level, with all rooms are facing Mt. Fuji. and Lake Yamanaka underneath the hotel. it is a very beautiful scenic view that you can enjoy from morning to night. Ordered an 8 course Japanese cuisine as dinner for 4 of us,... More

We stayed at this hotel for one night only but want to come back and stay at least 3 nights. The hotel is old and grand and very large. We booked a western / japanese room. We loved the room which was large with 2 areas - the western bedroom area and the Japanese dining room / sleeping room area.... More

Stayed here one night only. The hotel, apart from the reception area, needs a bit of lookin after. Rooms are dated and if you're over 180 cms (6 foot) then you'll have to duck to go to bathroom in the bedroom! In addition, staying here in mid march with snow on the ground I couldn't control the heating in the... More

We journeyed up the mountain to have tea at the cafe inside Hotel Mt. Fuji. The view of Mount Fuji would have been excellent except for the clouds which were rolling in. Tea and coffee were good, and appropriately priced for this quality of hotel and the view ($$$). The deserts we tried were excellent. We stopped by the gift... More

View from Hotel Mt. Fujii is unforgettable. Buffet breakfast more than ample. Excellent variety of dishes for buffet dinner. Did not try the onsen, actually a jacuzzi. Heard there was a karaoke bar. Rooms were very large, compared to other hotels in Japan, with additional sitting area. Other travelers in our group had tatami rooms but we had two single... More
