I stayed in the "villas" the older part of the hotel. Everything was good. Two separate bedrooms, two separate bathrooms, a lounge/kitchenette, smallish TV. (No foreign-language channels at all. Spanish or nothing.) Two balconies. Cleaned daily, maintained well. Really, what more could one ask for (except perhaps an in-room safe ...)? The wifi did not work in the rooms, ever,... More

Lovely country location with stunning views. Described as villas which I thought was a bit optimistic, more like apartments. Set on two floors, with one twin bedroom up a flight of stairs with en suite bath/shower, toilet etc. Downstairs, twin bedroom, with en suite shower room, toilet etc. T.V. and telephone are provided. Suitable for a family or two couples.... More

A disneyesque confection in the middle of a forest area. The attractive village of La Alberca is about a mile away and a gem in the middle of nowhere but it gets hoards of Spanish coach trips after 10am so get to the village before 10 or after 5 to see it as it should be. The villas at the... More

Seriously, a castle in the middle of nowhere. If I hadn't been there on business, I would have never, EVER, found it. Nothing medieval about it, since it was recently built. Def a castle, with turrets but no moat or suits of armor. I really liked the inside, especially my room. Friendly staff, decent buffet style breakfast, and on weekends... More

We stayed in a "De Luxe Villa" - with 2 bedrooms. Very comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms but the "modern" furniture in the living room was unbelievably tacky, unbelievably unattractive and so uncomfortable. In fact the MOST uncomfortable sofa and armchairs I have ever tried to sit in!

Our original reservation for our one-day stay in La Alberca was for the Hotel Doña Teresa. A few days before our arrival, we were informed that “… there was a problem with our reservation and we now were booked at Hotel Abadía De Los Templarios. We looked up this second hotel and saw mixed reviews but did not want to... More

In September I had the absolute pleasure of particpating at Pueblo Ingles and staying for a week in Villa 2. My 2-Bedroom Villa was shared with another Pueblo Ingles Participant. We were both completely happy with the accommodations. The villa was clean and quiet and had beautiful views of the surrounding countryside from every window. If the weather hadn't been... More

Last March, I spent two weeks in La Alberca at Abadia de los Templarios with Pueblo Inglés, and it was a pleasant experience. In a geographical area steeped in cultural history, this very modern resort is nicely juxtaposed. The facilities are made to look historic with the castle turret and surroundings. I concur with other reviewers regarding the fine villas.... More

We were actually at this resort as "Anglos" with Pueblo Ingles, so not resident at the Hotel as such. We stayed in bungalows in the stunning grounds. No 19 was right at the bottom, so our views across the mountains was uninterrupted. The rooms had 2 reasonably comfortable beds, a private bathroom for each of the 2 bedrooms, and a... More
