Great hostel (or more like hotel). Right at the beach, very secure, nice staff and clean. It's more like a place to relax as it is 30min north of Acapulco. But the beautiful beach, the cold sea and pool and hammocks were enough for us. We are definitly coming back!

A group of 8 of us in our mid twenties-early thirties spent a few night at Sol y Arena Beach Hostel. It is a really beautiful place, away from the noise and pollution of the center of Acapulco. Our rooms were comfortable and clean. When we stepped out of our rooms, the pool was directly in front of us and... More

We had the privilege of driving through the Blue Gates and into this extremely beautiful RV resort in Acapulco. We met the lovely Pilar just inside the gates. Pilar speaks English and is over-the- top accommodating. A most gracious host! It was almost like having a personal travel guide…not only for Acapulco but the whole of Mexico. ' The spaces... More

The people who own and operate Sol y Arena are generous and trustworthy to their guests. For example, they were very helpful on numerous occasions instructing us where and how to get to the best local restaurants (not in tour guides or online!), and the best way to travel into Acapulco. Very clean, comfortable rooms, we really regretted not staying... More

Wifi not working.very far from acapulco and cost 300 pesos to get there from bus station by taxi.... More

My gf and I stayed two nights in February of 2012. Though fairly far away from the bus routes, we were able to taxi to and fro with ease... The room was excellent, the pool sublime. The beach was mostly ours, the grounds of the Sol Y Arena was well kept, and the outdoor cooking space was perfect. We really... More

If you want to relax and get away from the hustle then this is the perfect place. Its not a party hostel. Its right on a very quiet beach. The rooms are big and clean. The kitchen is large with all the utensils/gas cooktop/fridges etc. They have a clean pool and hammocks looking at the beach. Pilar is the lady... More

A really nice place to relax and enjoy the nature, the location is really calm, The rooms are clean and comfortable. Maybe a little far for acapulco, but we don't want to leave the place either. The family who runs it are really friendly. Like most of the others reviewers, I´d like to stayed longer!!

The location is beautifull and most certainly very relaxing. You will receive a warm and friendly welcome. The owners can tell you all about the area, must see and do! The rooms are clean, as well as the kitchen. Go check it out!!
