This hotel is what it says on the label, its an old Indian palace in an area of total authenticity, the staff couldn't have done enough for us & the chef was just unbelievable with a total personal service to us with enough food served for 6 when there was just two of us! The room were palatial, of course... More

Darbargadh in Morbi is a Neemrana heritage hotel, but definitely not up to the brand's standard. We stayed at the Mahindra Mahal room which is a large suite with modern art wall deco and blue tinted window glasses. The room was very spacious and comfortable. It gave a funky and quaint feel, but it was full of dust and spiderwebs.... More

Although the Darbargadh Palace may not rate 5 stars for luxury it is a wonderful hotel. The food is delicious and the service perfectly good without being pushy. The Manager went out of his way to be helpful. Some people in our party were not happy with their rooms. They were too big and too far from the bathroom. In... More

I think trip advisor should not just put up reviews...I read a few before visitng but was shocked to see that place when I reached there. It is an isolated, stinky, stuffy, 7 seven room property. Its wrong to call it a hotel. Is an old re-furbished palace with hardly any occupancy. The worst is that the place had a... More

Dear Guest, We are extremely disappointed to read your review about Darbargadh Palace and are writing to apologise with an explanation. As you may be aware, Neemrana tries to employ as many local people who are often not educated. We put them through a training program and try to empower them to run our local heritage with pride. This prevents... More

We - my wife, our dsaughter and I - stayed one hight at Darbargadh Palace en route from Kathiawar to Kuttch in Decemeber. One has to recognise that this is a former palace in the centre of a smallish regional town in rural Gujarat, and not at the epicentre of the rule of the Rajas in Rajasthan. So, it is... More

We had a lovely trip to Morbi this weekend. We had the whole resort to ourselves, and it was an amazing experience. I know some people have complained about the dust and cleanlines, but given that we went here during the monsoons, everything was washed clean. Some of the previous reviews, have complained about general cleanliness and maintenance. But you... More

We visited this place in June 2013 and was a bit apprehensive after reading a few recent reviews. But, our experience changed all the apprehension to appreciation! The place is seeped in history! We visited this place in the month of January after seeing the reviews on trip advisor We stayed in Mahindra Mahal, probably that was the only high point of the whole palace. We went to Darbargarh with quite high expectations after reading consistently excellent reviews of the Palace on tripadvisor. What we found in real was utter disappointment except room. Room was up to the mark as was described in various reviews, so, that was the only saving grace. Though paint was peeling off in our room as well as Lakhdir mahal.... More

Exquisitely restored rooms in a classic Raj building. Cool in the summer and wonderful in the monsoon. Beautiful courtyard overlooking the river. Morbi itself has a lovely situation on the Macchu river. Very friendly service in the hotel.

Reflected in the Macchu river, the 19th century Darbargadh spreads out all the glory and magnificence of a century made eternal by the patronage of maharajas . The Jadejas ruled Morvi from the 17th century, but the oldest wing of their palaces that remain at Darbargadh, dates back to circa 1885 and is credited to HH Shri Waghji Rawaji Thakore.Wooden stairways lead to marble galleries that skirt the palace while spacious public areas lead to equally vast suites with bathrooms the size of apartments !
