Nice hotel in the middle of a peacefull enviroment. Excellent breakfast, diner and good beds. It is nice to compare a visit to this hotel with a visit to Yala national park or one of the many sacred places of budhism.

Very happy with our stay here. Clean, well equipped rooms and bathrooms, good food although less authentic than other hotels we have stayed in during our tour of Sri Lanka, nice pool, wifi. Staff a little reserved. Would stay again.

We stayed at the Hibiscus Garden Hotel for 1 night following a safari in Yala National Park. We had no idea what to expect as this was booked through the travel agent who organised the tour for us. First impressions were not spectacular. If you're expecting a charming colonial lodge then think again. However, I would absolutely stay here again.... More

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of June whilst visiting Yala and Bundala parks situated close by. The hotel was spotless as was our room. Rooms are situated in small bungalow annexes in the garden. The room was equipped with fridge, kettle, air con and fan but no safe. The bed has a optional mosquito net which... More

Good value. Big plus is the lovely pool and super friendly restaurant staff. Good dinner and varied breakfast, compliments to the chef. Curtains could really do with a wash and towels look like they have not been changed for a decade. Plenty of insects in the room and you can hear people in the adjacent room talk, shower and flush... We were greeted with glasses of cool fruit juice, then directed to a lovely poolside room with tile floors and wood accented ceilings. Peacocks greeted us in the morning, along with the nearby chants of monks. The gardens felt cool, quiet and restful after a long day at Yala National Park. The young men who waited on us in the... Spent 3 nights here in May 2014. Lovely hotel. Beautiful place to return to after a safari in Yala National Park which is amazing. The beautiful grounds are full of colour and are so well cared for. The swimming pool is very welcome after a day watching animals in the park. We did 5 safaris and saw leopards 12 times... More

Okay it's not 5 star but the 3 stars it claims are MORE than deserved. Idyllic quiet location on the road Tissa-Kataragama, ideal both for Yala safaris (did one, saw a leopard!) and for Kataragama pilgrims like us. Chalets consisting of 2 spacious rooms, perfect beds and nice well-kept bathrooms. The pool looked great but we had no time to... More

Very nice hotel located in a pleasant distance from the main road, making it really enjoyable (you will only hear the sounds of the nature). The rooms are in small buildings around the garden (4 rooms each) with the pool in the middle. Everything was quite clean, the rooms were well-equipped and also well-designed (comfy bathroom). The buffet in the... More

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst exploring Yala National Park. A super hotel, beautiful gardens, with bungalow rooms surrounding the pool. You have to remember you are In the middle of the jungle so there Is going to be wildlife around, from ants to bats, even a resident croc! We enjoyed waking up to the sounds of the jungle... More
