My wife and I stayed for 2 nights, right at the end of December 2014. A small hotel situated approx 1km from the main road in a rural setting. It has a main building with the reception/lounge area on the ground floor and the restaurant/bar on the upper floor. Rooms 1-16 are in square bungalows, situated around the outdoor swimming... More

Stayed here 2 nights Jan 2015 with my girlfriend Good: This is a nice hotel. Rooms were clean, large, and had working AC Linen was clean and beds were comfortable The pool is awesome, and the hotel is among paddy fields and feels very peaceful and secluded Walk 2 minutes up the road to buy some snacks at the corner... We only stayed 1 night as a stop over for yala. Room clean and comfortable. Agree about Insects and lizards in room but as Sri Lanka is a Jungle this expected. Lovely warm pool. Limited buffet with some fresh fish and noodles cooked to order. Ala carte menu was also available. Staff friendly and attentive with some difficulty in communication... More

While acceptable, Hibiscus Garden Hotel was our least favorite stay during a 3 week trip. The room was large and clean so no complaints there. The setting is pretty too. I travel budget style so I give service a lot of leeway but the service here was inept at best. People were polite but they appeared to have not been... More

Very relaxing hotel with nice swimming-pool and really good restaurant. Hotel staff were very kind and polite. We took some massages at our hotel and they were quite better than in some Ayurvedic centers we visited. So it was nice place to come and do nothing - just lie in garden next to pool and eat really tasty food. Our... More

Very nice location at the end of a small road and very tropical setting with jungle and rice fields all around. Unfortunately our daughters entrance to their room was on the backside and somebody managed to get in to room and steal a camera when we were at dinner. According to police it was second time this happened :( A... More

OK it had been cloudy and raining for several days when we arrived from Ella to the Hibiscus for our afternon Yala safari. Resort looked nice set amongst gardens witth views over paddy fields. The rain had stopped and we set off on a 6 hour briliant safari. Anyone who has done this will know that its very bumpy and... More

We stayed here four nights. There are bungalows (maybe 10 or so) around a pool. The restaurant is on the first floor above the reception. From our table in the restaurant we looked at the bungalows and pool. Breakfast and dinner were so good. We really enjoyed it here. The people were also so friendly.

We stayed here only for 1 night bit managed to have a swim in the pool which is based in the middle of the complex. The hotel is not easy to find as it's at the end of a dirt road. We generally liked it but there were loads of insects everywhere (including a cockroach in our bathroom) and loads... More

This hotel was our one night stop when we went to Yala National Park, where we didn't see neither elephant nor leopard apparentaly this was due to the rain the night before. Anyway, the hotel comprises of huts, which I believe are split into two separate rooms. The overall feel of the room was OK, however there were lots of... More
