We came for a wedding and decided to get an apartment for the week as it was cheaper than five nights in the hotel. Didn't know what to expect but ended up having a fantastic visit. The weather was sunny and cool and Glandore is simply adorable. It's very tiny and there is nothing there but a couple of pubs... more

In glandore for a wedding on the bank holiday weekend.Stayed in the Marine apartments. They were very comfortable with all equipment necessary. The bedrooms and en-suites were very large and tv in both bedrooms. On arrival we were delighted to see coffee, tea and milk in the fridge. The food in the bar and restaurant was very tasty even if slighty expensive. The food and service... more

Spent a week in one of their self-catering apartments behind the main hotel building. Fantastic value for the week. The rooms were huge, the whole apartment was 1140sq ft. The apartments were modern and clean with all mod-cons including flat screen tv's in both of the rooms. The hotel staff themselves were very helpful with the food served in the... more

My husband & I recently stayed in the charming Marine hotel in Glandore over Valentines weekend. From the moment we arrived at the seaside hotel we were given a great welcome by the staff. We had a lovely room across from the main building which was great,no noise. We had an all in packet of dinner bed & breakfast. We... more

Booked this place under the assumption that I was getting a hotel room. Arrived on the day (reception area closed) and was given a key for an apartment room by the girl working at the bar. Not impressed to say the least. None of the basics of a hotel room but charged the price of one i.e no phone, hair... more

We arrived by car from Cork airport after a not too long a flight from Newquay Cornwall. The sun was shining and it was a delight to see Glandore after 21 years away. We used to own a house in Unionhall on the opposite side of the harbour and returned each year for 6 - 8 weeks from Malaysia. When... more

Stayed at the Marine as we were attending a wedding in Glandore and would have to say that I would not return. Glandore itself is beautiful but a number of things in this hotel were not up to the mark. Firstly we had to pay 50% of the total upfront and the remainder was requested before we even arrived. So... more

Just found the reviews here on the Marine and had to comment. I stayed there recently with my parents and their friends from Australia. I was intrigued to see how our stay would work out as I saw previous comments about the place prior to my stay and frankly was put off but as I had booked a while back... more

Upon our arrival at The Marine, we were immediately made to feel at home and thrilled with the accomodations. Over the course of five days we had nothing but wonderful experiences. The beds and pillows were perhaps the most comfortable we've ever experienced. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The setting was picturesque and relaxing. We definately plan to... more
