Another stay at the Etxalar Hotel with friends. The staff were very friendly, as usual. We ate in each evening, 3 course meal and free wine and free water, all for 10.50 Euro! Excellent food, cannot fault anything. My friends will be back in September, and I will return soon.

To start off I want you to get a background of my experience, I motorcycled all the way from London to Gambia and met and experienced true human kindness till I got to this place which marred my 6 week tour. This place was awful, I arrived late around 11pm on motorcycle after travelling 300miles. Hoping to take shelter from... More

My last review here was some time ago, although we stay often, so I thought an update was needed. My wife and I stayed in room 211 on the 9th July 2012, and again last night 23rd July 2012 in room 214.Both of these rooms have a Huge USA size King bed, and balcony. What a difference in the weather!... More

With friends, I stayed the second time in the past 8 months, we love this hotel. Very traditional building, large rooms and ours had a balcony, with the sounds of the river rushing by outside. Don`t be put off by a `motorway` across the road, it never intrudes. We ate each night, 3 courses, including wine, was just 9.50 Euros,... More

Nice, clean hotel. Good breakfast. Big and comfortable bed. Views from the balcony. Very reasonably priced Internet connection.

We have been using this Hotel for years as being a days drive (500 miles) from our Spanish home it's a day away in either direction. This is a traditional Spanish hotel with friendly multi-lingual staff who are very efficient (if a little slow). The building is stone built and solid, the rooms modern clean and well above what you... More

The hotel is located close to the crossroad with not too much to do but to have dinner at restaurant. The staff can not speak english at all except reception (thanks!). The food is fine and interium great. This is all ok for spanish speaking travellers passing by. The village of Etxalar is worth to visit. We tryed to find... More
