My expectations were not high as I walked into Navarrete, but the Rey Sancho turned out to be a treat. Its large room and excellent bathroom were luxuries on the Camino de Santiago. While the town itself was not large, to find this quality and this facility was a welcome surprise. Should I ever return to the Camino whether walking... More

Lovely hotel right near the centre of town. There's a restaurant on-site but honestly the food is better at the cafes nearby. The room was good sized and had a heated drying rack--very convenient as I'd been walking in the rain for two hours. The full bathtub was delightful after days of walking. Internet worked great and hotel staff couldn't... More

We arrived on a wet day on the Camino and were able to go straight to our room. The room was very big and comfortable. The bathroom was decent sized too. Overall, very clean. The man at the front desk brought up our luggage when it was delivered. But that was where the nice service ended. They served a rather... More

We stayed one night in the Rey Sancho, which is in the village center of Navarrete. Check in was great, very warm welcome. The room was clean and good size.Nice decorations and a cosy feeling. We stayed in the hotel also for dinner, where we had the pilgrim menu. The food was ok for the prize, the wine as well.... More

My stay at Rey SANCHO was most enjoyable, minutes away from the events I was attending to. Great food and the best wines. Modern, clean and most friendly staff. I even had a balcony and could watch the peregrines on The Way to Santiago, passing by. I'll be back.

We stopped off here for dinner and were planing on staying the night. Unfortunately the owners appear to have a disregard towards pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago. The food in the restaurant was poor, the service by the staff was good, but ultimately the experience failed to address a lack of hospitality.

Hotel OK though not 3 stars advertised - eg no hair dryer. But restaurant really bad. We were used to pre-prepared pilgrim menus as standard along the Camino. But this one served up lamb as main course and it literally was dish of bones in oily broth - inedible! Cheap meal is fine but we'd happily pay more for fresh... More

The hotel run by a Spanish family was overall correct with good rooms, well working air-conditioning and an excellent level of sleep quality. However, the owners spoke only Spanish which makes communications a little difficult and we were very disappointed to find that the restaurant at the hotel was closed on the night we were due to stay. In a... More

I stayed here for a night on the Camino to get a break from albergues and as I had walked 33km I wanted some peace and privacy. The girl on reception was so friendly and helpful which was great and the room was spacious and clean. The bathroom had a bath which was a bonus and the wifi was good... More

I loved staying in Hotel Rey Sancho, as we travelled along the Camino. The service was excellent, with the family really going out of their way to assist (I needed an Australian-European adapter). The language barrier was, at times, a little difficult as I don't speak much Spanish, but whenever there was doubt the daughter of the couple who owned... More
